The book is a great recommendation - I'm reading it now. I had a terrible 4-day binge at the end of April (so bad my feet and legs were swollen) and decided I had to make a change. I'm not overweight, but I definitely struggle with the binge/restrict cycle and it's so damaging, both mentally and physically. I haven't had a…

does anyone have any suggestions for a macro mix as I increase calories? I had been maintaining a high protein count (averaging 1 gram per lb of body weight) to maintain muscle mass with my calorie deficit I'm beginning to think I should repost this in maintenance.

@stacimarie1974 thanks for the reply, trial and error seems like the consensus.

@yopeeps025 thanks for the reply and thanks for your understanding. vinyasa yoga just means moving through yoga poses with the breath, but it can vary a lot from class to class so it's difficult to estimate.

I kind of do this as well, I use a vanilla protein base, and add flavors from there. I usually go with frozen fruit, but today I added a scoop of instant coffee and a serving of pumpkin puree to make a fake PSL protein shake (yep, I'm so basic.)

Also, I've always been fairly confused by all the "activity level" on all of these calculators. If, on average, I do about 10 hours of vinyasa yoga and around 5 miles of hiking weekly, what in the world do I set my activity level to? (for the TDEE calculators) all of the light/moderate/strenuous distinctions are so…

@segacs thanks for the reply! scooby's workshop is one of the ones I'd been looking at, as I found it on a forum here. I left the "calibration" section blank as I'm not really certain what it's for. And yes, I should've mentioned, so for the record: Height: 5'4.75" Age: 24

@minnieinmaine thanks for the reply! I should've clarified that my goal isn't really to lose any more weight, just to make sure that any weight lost isn't from my LBM. my primary goal is to maintain at this point, and I'm confused as to why my BMR listed in the report is higher than all the other calculators I've found…

@paxbfl thank you! but i'm not totally convinced my results are even accurate. and the photo you linked to (and others like it) is one of the main reasons. I went into the test estimating my BF% around 16-18% based on these photos. I understand that bodies are built differently, and I am very muscular and strong, but I…

nope, no RMR or TDEE. i did hydrostatic and not bod pod.. does that make a difference?

haha perfect

my legs are probably my favorite feature now, but i used to hate my calves! i'm naturally quite muscular, you can probably see in my profile picture.. and i've learned to love it as i've gotten older. i'm especially a fan of them when i'm wearing heels or wedges :)

my starting weight was 177 lbs, so about the same as you.. I was a size 10 at American Eagle (that's all I wore!) and I'm currently about 122 lbs and a size 0 in the same brand (vanity sizing is real, y'all!) but usually a 2 in most other brands. I'm pretty muscular, though, so I feel like you can't judge size by weight. I…

haven't been wearing jewelry in a while and i tried on a ring this morning that completely fell off my finger.. just for kicks, i measured my ring size earlier. i knew i'd changed quite a bit in clothing sizes, but four full sizes down since i ordered my high school ring about 6 years ago seems INSANE!

bump! posting later absolutely LOVE these threads, amazing job everyone!

i've tried shakeology and hated it.. i've been using designer whey french vanilla powder and make my own. just add almond milk and and ice or frozen fruit if i feel like it

5'4" and started at 177 lbs and a size 10/12 - my original goal was 127. when I reached that, I decided to go a little lower because I was still not quite happy with the tummy and thighs. new goal is 120 and I'll reevaluate when I get there. now at 124 and a size 2/4, but I don't believe I'd want to drop any lower than 117.

bump to read later

happy transformation tuesday! I'm 5'4" and my highest RECORDED weight was 177 (I suspect it probably crept higher than that, but I avoided the scale - and photos!) I moved to Los Angeles in January of 2013 and changed my lifestyle drastically - I started eating better and became way more active. I lost a good chunk with…
