Does it go blank or just say check heart rate like mine does. Either way put a new battery in both the monitor and watch . I was told to wash the strap in the washing machine in a delicates bag on delicate cycle. Sweat builds up and blocks the signal. If it still won't work call polar. They stand behind their stuff even…

I get it, it's just crappy it was a sales pitch disguised as a friend request with plenty of weight loss support legitimate enough until it became a sales pitch.
-
I just feel like an idiot on both occasions. The woman was on the motivation and support section and the other guy was in like the first section like New to Here looking for friends.

Sorry should have been clearer, there was a mix up. One woman I thought I was helping just chat about body image issues and then looked at posters comments like "hubba Hubba" and I thought, "wait, was she just hoping for a look at my picture give me a boost moment while I was giving her legit advice?" The other example was…

That was not it at all. it was the above sorry, I could have been clearer, but I had 2 examples going on and got them muddled when the fingers started typing.

I should have been clearer in my post sorry. Originally I was chatting with one woman about self image and she like she needed a way to end negative self talk and have a confidence boost and all the other comments were basing their advice on her picture, like "hubba hubba you look fine to me" The other example was just…

I think too many women judge other women. Too many women internally have such hate filled negative self talk and dialogue. Yes, therapy or even journal what spurred you at that moment to put a thinner petite girl on a pedestal and label yourself as a "huge moose" your words. I think maybe supportive friends that don't cut…

I decided I am not going to get pushed out of my favorite place, but I am going to try for pics and keep a log of when I reported things in case Animal Control drops the ball along the way as well. Just one bite and then Animal Control makes it a police matter anyway so I sort of need to keep track of things so no one can…

Tried the different schedule thing and went at 9:30 not 10:30 and she was there AGAIN! Does this woman live in the park? Maybe! Seriously, I passed by her on my bike. She was walking just the Jack Russell and it was on a HELD leash. She was with 3 friends though. I said Hallelujah your dog is finally on a leash and you are…

This is not a dog who plays. He will hear you coming 50 feet behind him and turn around and run towards you to antagonize your leashed dog. I have had to get in the middle of my dog hiding behind me and this dog all the while shouting at this woman. I think I am just going to get pictures, report her, and even post the…

So sorry to hear that. Don't you just love the owners that shout "oh, he's friendly!" As their dog is barreling towards you looking as if it may chew your face off. I was chased by a dog in high school I had to climb a tree to avoid. It scared me and stuck with me. I guess I just attract weirdos. A few months ago it was a…

Thanks all. Sadly this may be her own dog. She seems to not care at all. After her dog antagonized the bigger leashed Great Dane, she walked past the bench I was sitting at hoping for that prime pic of her not holding the leash. I over heard her say to her dog, "Oh, he was a big fresh dog" Her dog provoked things but the…

I know you are not being snarky, neither am I but isn't your stance just a way to advcate for anarchy? This is a beautiful place. Or was...recently, Kids set a bench on fire, carved a huge prom posal in a big tree. There shouldn't be 200 sets of conduct to accommodate 200 people that use the area. Horses from a local farm…

3rd line of my story...I asked this woman to followed rules and keep her dog leashed the whole time she is there. Now after turning her in the dog is leashed but she doesn't hold the leash.

I was think pics too, problem is she didn't deny the first offense.. I just don't think she cares. Maybe a pic bringing on a fine would be different.. Going to have to hide my bike and shoot some Candid shots

I think I get the OP concern. 6 is a fussy age, still too slow for an adult who wants to push through a good workout. Fickle enough to get bored and not want to do the walk daily. I signed my kids up for summer basketball at the high school and while they do that I hit the school track. Boring but my steps are in. My…

I bike ride with my daughter who is also 6. There are paved paths at a local golf course and a small playground. When she needs a break I do dips, or jumping jacks or ride around the playground while she swings. By 3 she was out of the jogging stroller

When the weather gets extreme, I am NOT up for punishment...and running early or late leaves me excuses to not get it done at all. So rather than beat the heat ir wait for a winter day to warm up, the treadmill and Netflix or hulu is there for me and I am fine with it. I can totally relate to you!

Great job! Any validation is a boost to keep the journey going!

I love this! Wishing you continued success ahead!

You rock! That's how I am trying to go about it but have gotten some heat for eating a small slice of pizza at my son's birthday and admitting that I don't weigh every morsel. I just wanted to do something that was sustainable for life long change. I am not the type to whip out the food scale at the Ruby Tuesdays salad…

Very real. Heart and eye opening look into a very real struggle. Bravo and congratulations on your success and maintenance journey! One question that will help me in my own struggle. Did you weigh your food or make logical choices? I am finding success at losing and making better food choices and cutting back on the treats…

Nope, my scale is in my clothes closet on a hard floor. Seems to have a lot of fluctuations today though. I even face the same way each weigh in to be consistent!
-
Thanks all! I like the taking an average for 5 day weigh ins ...I also think I am tech deficient. I have a junky phone that doesn't link to anything! LOL! Maybe that's what I need to update! I will say that I do weigh daily but don't update MFP check in until Tuesdays or Wednesday's. I heard that was an idea day since the…

Sounds about right here lately. Everyone claiming expert opinion weighs in to bully or jab and add their 2 cents. I would have really likes sneaking that recipe into family meals as healthy ways to get a veggie based treat into my kids vs Dunkin Donuts. Guess I will stick to spinach hidden in metal loaf for a while longer.

I think you have to listen to your body. When hungry, eat healthy, when hurt, rest and repair. I personally think too many people are driven to ruin by that number on the scale vs how they feel, how their clothes fit, what hurts, what is shrinking with a tape measure. I think constantly focusing on the numbers can make…

Wow! You already look so different! Super progress! Celebrate how far you've come and Honor it as you keep moving forward. Treat yourself to a non food reward!

84 lbs to lose...welcome to my world. You can do it!

Thank you! Last time I posted a rant about so many entries being duplicates and wrong I caught holy hell. I don't have a scanner on my junky phone so I had hoped the entries were accurate....NOT I spent more time at meals fixing items that I lost hope of adding variety or straying from the small group of foods I had logged…

As a woman with PCOS and insulin resistance, carbs, the processed kind have to be in moderation for me, no more than 30-45gr per meal. My doctor put it bluntly for me about 13 years ago. "Do you want that bagel or do you want a baby?" Going low carb I was able to reset my body, lose weight and have 3 healthy kids after a…
