  • *kitten* JUST GOT REAL!!!!! GREAT POST!!
  • I am very very much an emotional eater! I have been my whole life. The problem is I don't just eat when I'm sad, I eat when I'm happy, I eat when anything is different than normal. I plan vacations around food. It took me many years to figure it out. I even realized that even now at 34 years old, if I don't feel well I…
  • Is everyone doing their daily 30 minutes? Squats? Burpees? and leg lifts? I have been successful everyday so far! Hoping for another day tomorrow!
  • LOVE THIS!!
  • That is fantastic!!! Your face has trimmed down so drastically! You look amazing!!! Like a different person!!!
  • Its 5 days of the rest of your life! Step away form the fridge and step into your room and slide on your comfiest work out clothes and do your favorite video workout or hit the gym and push out all this aggression on a machine! This isn't a diet! Its the rest of your life!!! NO MORE BINGING!!!! ANd don't let 5 days turn in…
  • WELL DONE!!!! That is an amazing feeling!!! Very happy for you!!!
  • When I said "what you ate last week" I was just simplifying a larger process. It is true that the types of exercise doesn't have an effect on stored fat. I was just trying to explain the heart rate zone.
  • The difference is that in Zone 2 (Fat burning mode) you burn less calories but the calories you do burn are spent more efficiently. In Zone 3, you are pushing your body harder and its kinda burning what ever you just ate rather than what you ate last week. I got some great advice on this subject from my trainer a year or…
  • Love this! I'm in!
  • Strange and simple. Sun tan lotion! Clears it up pretty quick and continued use keeps it gone!
  • I'm not certain about accuracy although in my mind it has to be more accurate because it knows my resting heart rate and my current weight and monitors my heart rate through my entire workout vs a treadmill or elliptical which even when you can punch in your own weight its still doesn't know your V02 max. But heres my…
  • Way more accurate because its based on your body weight, height etc... It knows what your resting heart rate is and tracks your calorie burn based on YOU. Not in general
  • Work the muscle with light weights! Soreness is toxins in there... Let them out! Feels way better!
  • Welcome and Good Luck in your journey!!
  • I just bought the FT60 and so far I'm loving it!! Very much like a personal trainer/tracker!! Reliable, durable, and kinda cute (got the pink one) with the chest strap. Its comfy and i love the little messages it sends me when I've had a good wee!
  • Use the stretchy bands and get creative!! You can do so many exercises with those and work all muscle groups... Google some ideas based on the furniture you have in your home... The tension you can apply to your muscles is soo good for you!
  • I'm doing Insanity (only on Day 2 this time) for the second time. The first time I did I was in horrible shape and I'm a smoker but I did what I could do and by the 4th week I was rocking that program. My only advice is listen to your body during the first few weeks... I pushed as hard as I possiibly could on the first…
  • They say that a good run is the BEST cure for a hangover... You may vomit once or twice but rest assured its the alcohol not that your pushing too hard... LOL Good luck with this.
  • We bagged our own... That was our second deer this season which is great for me since its so lean and I can put it in almost everything. I'm not sure that you can buy venison at a store? Thats a good question? Does anyone know the answer to that?
  • Ok I when I get home from work tonight I will put it in so that we can all see. I didn't realize that there was a calculator on MFP that would do that.
  • I think Jillian MIchaels said it best a few seasons ago on Biggest Loser "If it doesn't come from the dirt or have a mom don't eat it"
  • I'm reading the Twilight series and literally yesterday after reading 300 pages of the third book I had to force myself to go to sleep (Cuz I had to be up at 5:30 am for work) and then I dreamt about it. I've been told its kind of a "kid" book but I have to say that I'm 31 years old and have found this to be the greatest…
  • I quit 7 weeks ago yesterday and I am SOOO thankful. I did gain some weight but I went to the doc last week and he said usually after 6-8 weeks of not smoking anything you did gain will come off fairly easily with exercise and of course watching what you eat. Go for it!!! You've got nothing to lose by quitting and…
  • Welcome and Good Luck to you!!!!
  • And I was with you only 35 days ago. Something my mom told me (she quit only 1 month before me) "The urge to smoke is going to go away whether you smoke or not" Let it pass you by and entertain your brain with a new thought. I read these forums everytime my brain was taken over by urges. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
  • Ok so ironically I decided tonight was the night I was going to start this running program. and when I got done I came back inside and found this board. I would like to join with ya'll. If you read my profile I started MFP a year ago when I had to take my PT test (air force) and WAS NOT ready and didn't want to struggle…
  • LOVE the Biggest Loser workouts and I've been doing them for months on and off. Seems like everytime I do it once I have to take 5 days off to recover. LOL Congrats on quitting smoking too... Today is day 12 for me. Its not easy but seeing how much money you save is definetly a boost when your feeling weak. LOL Anyways…
  • Ok So I recently took a class given by the Cooper Institute and learned something that blew me away. Did you know that stretching can burn just as many calories and sometimes more calories then a regular workout? Yoga is a great low impact exercise (shoes are not required). I would suggest the Biggest Loser Yoga video.…
  • I don't know if this will apply to you too but when I walk or run or do the elliptical and my knee starts to get sore its my sign that its time for new shoes. And as soon as I replace them (about once every 4-5 months) my knee feels brand new again. It could possibly just be that your shoe is worn funny causing extra…
