A very nice walk with a beautiful landscape!

This is the way to go. It's very weary to try to have every bit measured accurately. I mean, I know it's the way many do it, but for me, after losing 80 lbs with MFP with approximated values, it's a no-brainer.

You're focusing it right. It's a lifestyle change... and I won't deny good attitude and motivation are very, very important. But I've found that it's more important, even more than motivation (because motivation fails from time to time), to have discipline and consistency. Be disciplined and intentional toward your goals,…

Skinny shouldn't be a goal. Aim for FIT, and you will see the difference :) it involves a lot eating and a lot of workout by the way.

Well, I remember how I was, but I'm getting more used to the new me now. What's funny thought, is that I still feel I won't fit in some places or clothes... but that's gradually changing too. By the way, I've lost 110 pounds total (80 while on MFP), so, yeah, there is a difference.

Hi Miranda. You're taking a good chance here with MFP. If you're committed, log daily, read, learn, you will get results. One step at a time! and set a long term goal, not a fast one, or only "drop weight" goals. Learn to live healthier, and the results will come. Welcome!

Track your fruit. Try to fit it into your macros. If you can, avoid extra sugar in beverages (coffee, tea), and enjoy your fruit!

I usually eat some carbs before my workout (fruit, oatmeal), and stuff with protein after (meat, chicken, eggs...). I don't have any scientific claim here, but that's what works for me

Great dedication, and amazing results! Congratulations!

Thank you, and thank you everyone! Sharing this also serves me as a reminder about why I'm doing this, and to be aware that this is a life long race. There is no "goal", but continuously renewed purpose.

Thanks everyone! If you're already a parent, and think you lack motivation, look at your kids... they're the biggest motivation!

That's the idea Robertus... being around for my kids as many years as possible! You can see in these pictures the persons for whom I want to be always healthy.

Thanks everyone!

Dark, no sugar/splenda/stevia added... I learned to drink it this way, and I like it. I used to put non-dairy creamers, or plain milk, two sugars, or splenda... but nowadays I enjoy the taste of pure coffee :)

Wow, thank you! if I can do it, everyone can do it! I have an office work, then I have to find the time to be active. It IS possible.

Congratulations! 170ish is my goal weight for maintenance... getting there :)

Thank you!

Hi! well, this is me and my lovely wife... both pictures taken on February 14 (2014/2015). 80 pounds less :)

I have never weighed my food... yeah, I said that. I've lost 70+ pounds while using MFP without weighed a single banana in almost 1 year of using this wonderful app. Why? as someone said, life is too short, and I just guesstimate the weight/size of the stuff. May be if I weighed my food I'd get better/faster results, but I…
