  • Thanks everyone for your replies and suggestions. I have an iPad at home, and have downloaded a couple of the apps linked to MFP, a bootcamp one and fitstar, I am sure I can entertain the kids for 20 minutes with Mickey Mouse whilst I get moving in the other room. I do walk a lot with them, but they are getting to an age…
  • Thanks everyone, felling a lot deflated at the moment, so hopefully I will get motivation from you all. I came close to considering a VLCD, but sensibly talked myself out of it. Think I have miserable weather blues
  • Thanks everyone for your replies, I agree with the healthy / clean eating, I know it is the best thing, and I think I read somewhere about eating more fibre than normal as this is supposed to help with the healing process. I will just eat healthy and hope for the best results possible. The big concern will be after surgery…
  • Hiya all, I keep trying to get back on the wagon, but keeping failing, I have plenty of reasons to nned to lose the weight... 15 month old twins and a pending partial thyroidectomy, don't have the support network at home, so need to look elsewhere, hopefully you can all help me out
  • Hi Ladies I have come back to MFP after giving birth to twins, now I didn't use it as such when pregnant, but did write down everything I ate as I was boarderline with GD at 24 weeks, and by my second test at 28 weeks had managed to completely turn things around, also managed to keep my BP in check right up until 16 days…
  • Just received my first 'diet chef' hamper, looking forward to seeing if it is my miracle aid in my weight loss journey. Planning to keep a diary on my blog, so here goes!
  • Hey Ladies I have some, but not sure where it came from as the father-in-law passed it on. I will check the label etc tonight and see if I can work out where it is from! Will keep you posted
  • Hello All Late with the weigh-in this week as I went to Scotland for 5 days, and to my surprise I still managed to lose 1lb, very happy with this as I always eat way too much food and all the bad stuff as I miss it so much!!! How are you all doing?
  • Everyone is doing so well, congrats :drinker: Anyone got any burning tips they want to share, new exercises to try etc. As from 01 June 2011 I am planning on a 30 minute swim before work, then a 32 minute run after work, and then alternating days of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and Wii on the Zumba, trying to mix things…
  • Monday morning weigh in for me...... Drum roll please.............I lost 1lb, :ohwell: a little disappointing, but only for me as I feel that I let myself down, by having a bit of a blow-out, unintentionally, but it was an unplanned meal at friends so lots of high calorie/fat foods as they didn't know I was watching my…
  • Not too late at all, all welcome on this challenge; more people = more motivation. Good luck
  • Hope everyone is doing well, can't log in as much in work, as I got 'spoken' to about my excessive internet usage, will try to log in at home in the evenings instead. Managed 32 minutes jogging last night, only at 12 minute mile pace, but it's a start!! Good luck on day 4 L :flowerforyou:
  • Hey Ladies How are we all doing?? Nice to see so many people wanting to support one and other. Plan for today's exercise: 45 minutes circuit on the treadmill, it's a killer but it burns burns burns thosse calories i.e. blasts the fat!! On to level 3 of the 30 day shred tomorrow, yikes, gonna be tough, but I WILL do it…
  • :flowerforyou: Maybe your friend is not supportive, but we all are. I have a friend similar to yours, when she knows I am trying to lose weight she will buy me chocolate or cook things that she knows I shouldn't be eating. Hopefully her negativity will spur you on to prove her wrong, out the money you would pay for WW away…
  • Hi Cherrydietcoke1 The more the merrier, I wish I had lost more weight for my wedding last year, but am making up for it now!! Hopefully the link below to insanity website will work, all I know is that it is a very very very tough workout, I seen some TV ads for it a few weeks ago, and yikes…
  • Hey Last_time11 glad you're joining us. I have been doing teh Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, and as insane as it sounds, actually enjoying it, couple of the guys in work started that insanity thing and gave up after about 2 days as it was too hard, maybe IF I ever become really healthy I'll try that as a challenge!!
  • Okay, so it's Monday and here we go: Starting weight 231 lbs dress size 18/20 (depends on the shop) My aim for the 12 weeks is to drop to 203 lbs....actually if I am telling the truth it would be to drop to 199 lbs, just so I'm out of the 200's; and dress size to be 14/16, here's hoping. I've decided to cut out wheat,…

  • I started this on 19 April, got through level 1 and then onto level 2, then got a viral infection which led to Labyrinthitis, so haven't managed to do any for about a week, planning to try again from tonight, not sure whether to go back to level 1 or carry on at level 2. I did lose 8 1/2 inches on level 1, so it works if…
  • Hi There I'm in Liverpool this weekend has been awful re the weather, where did all that rain come from??
  • Kjarlune - thanks awesome sounds good to me, need to chnage and add exercise into my weight loss journey, only doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred and 1 Zumba class a week.
  • Thanks Jeff, if it hurts, it's a winner. Will look into the class times and report back.
  • I did appreciate your reply, what I meant was that I love how you can ask questions on here, and people are so comfortable with you, even though they don;t know you to talk to you straight up as if they truely were your friend. Sarcastic probably wasn't the right word, but I do liek sarcasim, apparently the lowest form of…
  • Hi All Goal for May is to drop a dress size, so anything from 6 - 14lbs I guess. Hoping for a 2 - 3lbs weight loss per week, upping the cardio to burn that fat and still doing the 30 day shred and Zumba. The evenings are light enough to get outside and do some walking/running. Planning to eat more 'natural' foods, and…
