The secret to not eating crap is to not buy it. Banish it from your house. I found the best way for me to choose good "snacks" was to have them ready to go at all times in the fridge, in my purse etc. If it's EASIER to grab the good stuff then you won't have the "it's too hard" excuse. You're doing nothing wrong! Keep at it, keep saying no to the donuts, and keep focused on YOUR goal. All they're doing is projecting their frustration with themselves on to you - because it's easier to make snide remarks then facing up to their own issues.

There is a definite difference in your neck line and the size of your forearms. You are right that it will take longer for people to notice as you have a ways to go. But side by side before & after shots tell the story. You're doing great!

Buying a new pair of my favourite jeans (except a few sizes down) on eBay because they just don't fit anymore. I can't wait to get them! People who I haven't seen in ages having to take a few looks first to make sure it's me (yes I totally noticed)

Thanks for all of your kind words! I started yesterday and recorded all my cals/exercise. It felt good to do it again and especially when I got to bedtime and saw that I was good for the day. Whenever I feel the craving for something sweet I get a "fun size" candy bar. I try to break my day into 300 cal breaky/lunch/dinner/snacks portions. So if I feel like that 100 cal candy bar I go ahead and do it. I've made the commitment to change my lifestyle not ban the things I like from my life.

I tried to "treat" myself to some McD's last week as I haven't had anything other than a salad from there in a looooong time... it ws gross! As I was making my way through the nuggets I could taste the grease on them. bleeeeh
