Hi Everyone. I dropped off MFP for a while, but have been quietly getting back into a routine for the past month. Now that I've got some confidence built back up, thought I would say hi. This group seems to be so supportive, it seemed like a great place to start. I'm about 15 lbs into a 100 lb ultimate weight loss goal,…

I'm not the least bit shy about bringing my own turkey burgers and a salad that I can enjoy within my calorie range. I make this delish salad with frozen corn, black beans, a variety of peppers (green, red, jalapeno) and a touch of light italian dressing. It's yummy and doesn't break the calorie bank.

pork chops or chicken, can of cream soup/can of water, rice and cook.

I usually get 10 piece nugget (shared with my one of my kids, so I eat 5) and a side of chili. I like the nuggets broken up in the chili. And diet coke or water. Under 600 calories if I recall (though it's been a while).

I mean this in the most friendly way possible, but do any of you 5'7" women realize how funny it sounds that you're calling yourselves short to those of us who never hit 5 feet tall?? 4'11"?? Now THAT'S short. :-) (Sorry, just had to add my 2 cents)

I never realized that this was something I wasn't doing until a couple weeks ago when I unconciously crossed my legs and thought "hey - I haven't done this in years - huh....". Good luck!

brown rice (cooked in veggie broth), black beans and green chiles.

I like them in smoothies, but can't stand the texture to just eat them.

I know this sounds crazy and perhaps a bit eeeewy, but I love it on a bed of lettuce w/some tuna and a bit of french dressing and some sunflower seeds.

Normally I eat vanilla greek yogurt or cottage cheese with a serving of fresh fruit. But my all time favorite thing in the morning is grilled chicken with spinach and cheese melted on top. Very low carb, super satisfying and quite tasty.

I generally do cucumber and bell pepper slices.
-
Twinings Chai (for my afternoon fix) and Earl Gray in the morning.

I like grilled chicken topped with fresh spinach and a little cheddar cheese. Season to taste....
-
Cinnamon sticks and apple slices......YUM!

I could eat if if I wanted, but I can't stand the smell and/or taste of fried food. Going to the cafeteria at my work grosses me out because all I can smell is grease. I can even smell it when I drive past certain restaurants with the car windows down. It's crazy how one can go from craving mcdonald's fries to loathing the…

We're a family of 4 and this is our general budget also. We pretty much only each chicken and fish for meat.

I'm loving my shrinking feet. My mom's a shoe shop-a-holic, so now that I've shrunk back to a 6/6.5, she's cleaning out her closet and filling up mine so she has an excuse to head out for more shoes to replace the ones she's given away. It's a win-win for us both.

I biked 8.3 miles in one ride this week at an average of 10 miles/hour (instead of 2-3 miles at 6 miles per hour)....AND I've only taken prednisone for my pain twice all week.

I wound up gaining about 25 lbs while pregnant both times. After delivery, I weighed less than I did before I got pregnant. I was overweight to begin with so there was really not much need for a lot of weight gain according to my doctor. I was gestationally diabetic, so I followed a strict and extremely healthy eating…

^^^this..............and maybe get a side salad or munch the celery in between for a distraction.

For me, because I deserve to feel better. Because my joints can't handle the extra weight and I can't wait to remember what my face looked like before all the chins appeared. Also for my kids, because they deserve a mom who can play with them, run with them and just generally keep up. And for my husband because he needs to…

I know this sounds odd but i love grilled chicken breast with sautéed spinach and a sprinkle of cheddar on top. It's delis and lasts several hours.

Hard to hear, but good sound advice overall. My husband (who's max weight at 5'10" was 297) mentioned to his doctor once that he was having a hard time losing weight and did she have any advice. Her exact response was "if there was a magic pill, don't you think I'd be taking it???" . HOLY COW! Needless to say, he has a…

Nuts have so many health benefits, but ya really have to stick to portions....those calories can add up FAST!!

Yes, you can absolutely lose weight while swimming. It's a great way to re-introduce fitness and exercise into your daily routine and helps you to become stronger. When starting out a few months ago, swimming was the only thing I could handle so I alternated laps, treading water and water walking to work different areas.…

Craved Little Debbie today, right up until I saw the 400+ calories on the package. Fiber One it was.

Oh how I love chicken. Particularly grilled chicken topped w/sauteed fresh spinach, garlic and some cheddar cheese. Then there's grilled buffalo chicken flat bread pizza (cut up the chicken, toss in some frank's hot sauce and top w/a combo of bleu and cheddar cheese. Can't forget general tsao's chicken (grill chicken, toss…

Hi! As a fulltime working mom of 2 boys, I get it. It's tough to do it all and find time for you. Here are my immediate thoughts: #1. Make the time you spend with your kids more active and healthy. We go for walks, play wii fit video games on nasty days, crank up the tunes and dance around the living room like lunatics,…

If dessert is imaginary does that mean we don't have to log the calories??
