Do a juice / smoothie fast. You're getting your nutrition - adequate calories, too. It is very hard because we are programmed to chew food. I'm on day 4 of mine - not easy at all but it is healthy. Most of the weight you lose will be water - but any diet that you do to lose that much weight that fast is going to be water…

I agree - eat all of your exercise calories - make sure your NET calories are NOT less than 1200. You dont want to starve your body.

Just remember that change is hard and if you have to take a step back that is all it is a step back you then refocus and move forward again. It is ok to backstep as long as you get right back on that horse and move forward again! I did a plant based diet for about 6 weeks and it wasnt that bad. PLANNING is key as it is key…

People are not being insensitive or unsupportive - they're looking for supoprt for their issues. I'm sorry you had to get rid of your cat -that sucks a lot - but people still have cats and issues with their cats. It isnt directed at you.....

I quit soda a while ago but I still slip up sometimes - I ususally go for tea or water. I notice when I do have it that I crave it more. I'm off of it now - and hoping to keep it that way! Good job ladies, I know from experience that it 'aint easy to quit!

Amen to that...I don't trust the FDA with my health anymore than I do some random 'doctor' in Mexico

Your NET should be 1200 or at least close to it. Read the info posted above on the MFP boards. It is important to fuel your body ESPECIALLY if you're being that active. You should be eating 1200 calories a day + some of your fitness earned calories. You dont have to eat them all but you should be eating some of them.

The best thing you can do: Eat more whole foods, less processed food. If you like 'processed' foods (for the convenience) try to find ways to make it yourself so you can control the amount of sodium. Granola bars can be made fairly easily at home. Pasta sauce, salsa, bread (eh..this one is harder but I think you get the…

www.foodfacts.com :) This site has some great info on WHAT is really in your food. Raisin Bran scored a 49 - it has HFCS (yuck) Kix scored 67. For a processed food Kix scored pretty good! Good think I like Kix and not Raisin bran...lol

Im going to try that, too! A very simple way to increase the weight loss. :) Thanks for sharing!

I read that article today, too. I was surprised. BUT when I went to the gym tonight I did BodyPump and then ran/walked a mile. :) It is hard for me to do cardio AFTER a hard workout but I will try! :)

So - the NET should be as close to your calorie goal MFP sets up for BEFORE your exercise. 254 Calories Remaining Goal Food Exercise = Net 1200 1682 - 736 946 So my GOAL should be to get my NET to 1200?

<Also in Colorado. Springs area. I've been using MFP for a few days and I love it. I'm doing it with several girlfriends and it has been so awesome to have the support of my friends! If you need another friend on MFP please feel free to add me! :) Keep at it! Everyday is a new start!

Good for you! YIPPPY!!! I signed up for a 10 miler in June. I did a half a few years ago but have struggled to keep at it. Hal Higdon has a FANTASTIC training program. According to him you should continue to do your strength training. Here is the link to his website. His half training program is free!…
