Yeah, I am quickly losing motivation. It's been 8 days and I think I lost 1 pound of fat. I know it says I lost 5 pounds, but I think I was bloated or something when I did my initial weigh-in because that disappeared after the first day - so I feel like I really only lost 1 pound. I need to get a digital scale because I…

On days I eat a protein bar, I am less hungry overall. The ones I normally go for are Clif Builder's Bars in Chocolate Peanut Butter (20g of protein).

Just a heads up that Wellbutrin does nothing for anxiety. I asked to be switched a couple years ago but I had to go off it and just go back to all Celexa because I have anxiety along with depression.

I think it's OK if you don't want to do strenuous exercise. I know I don't and I actually have more success with losing weight when I put my focus solely on my diet. I think you can still lose weight eating more though, even if you were in bed all day. Your BMR is the # of calories you burn just by staying alive and I know…

You are not eating enough. Even if you were only hitting 1200 calories a day!!! I think you should be eating AT LEAST in the 1300 to 1500 range. You definitely will still lose weight if you do that consistently as I am sure that is below your BMR.

I normally lose more 'water' weight at the start of a diet than I have this time. Just figured out the reason - "that time of the month" began today. Women's bodies sometimes fluctuate like that because of the 'cycle' - I would give it more time and you'll probably see a difference. If not, you can adjust your daily…

Smaller portions. Thinking about what I am eating instead of just putting food in my mouth without thinking, lol.

Sometimes I just get bloated, myself. Also, your period can make you gain a bit of weight temporarily. Once, I was dieting very strictly, weighing myself daily, and one morning I got on the scale and I weighed like 5 pounds heavier than the day before. I knew immediately it must be period weight because nothing else would…

I was just about to start a thread about this!! I hate that when I am on a diet, my life tends to revolve around food. Honestly, I just took a nap to distract myself. Earlier today I took my car through the car wash. It is very depressing, in a sense, and it is no way to live long-term. But it is a necessary evil. I do…

It is very normal to lose more weight the first week. I even notice a difference sometimes after my first day, simply because I am putting less food into my body. However, the pounds you lose the first week are not all from fat. It is mostly from loss of water weight.

I did it for 2 months. It does not work as advertised - at least it did not in my case.

Last time I tried a cheat meal, I totally fell off the wagon and stopped dieting altogether. It might work for some people though.

To get my mom to shut up about my poor eating habits.

I have been vegan for 2 years. A lot of processed food geared towards vegans have loads of dietary supplements in them, which is very helpful. I am talking about vegan 'meats' and non-dairy milk. Especially when dieting, it is important to be mindful of choosing protein-rich foods like whole grains, nuts, beans, 'meats',…

I am pretty short, 5'4, and I know I could lose weight eating a bit more, just at a slower pace - but I have not had much success with doing that in the past for whatever reason. But, I may readjust once I start working because I cannot let my diet distract me from my work.
