You look amazing!!! Kudos to you!

For starters, you have to want this badly enough to put the effort in. Plan ahead. Bring healthy snacks with you wherever you go! Stop buying lunch and make your own. Do as much of your own cooking as humanly possible. There are great websites for recipes like Cooking Light, Skinnytaste, Skinny Kitchen and others.…

This is a lifestyle change and change is rarely easy. But you've only just begun! Aren't you worth the effort? Put away the scale if need be and focus on making positive changes, more veggies, eat cleaner. Are you eating enough? I do hope you aren't eating at 1200 calories a day. I'd throw in the towel too if that's all I…

44 and never felt better!

Tornado, you can do this. Just take it one day at a time, one meal at a time. It get easier, but the first couple of months were the most difficult for me. You are so worth it!
-
You just might do better if you increased your calories. That is very low.

It's all in moderation. I'm not a believer is deprivation, however I have cut way back in sugar and processed foods. I also discovered that when I started eating enough I craved less!
-
Ahhh and I thought it was just ignorance. Thanks for the heads up!

There's a big difference in "overeating" and the concept of "eating more to weigh less".

It is a matter of finding what works for you. If I don't eat my exercise calories I stall the weight loss. The body is a machine, if you don't fuel it properly it won't burn the fat. But it's an awesome moment when you discover what does work best for you!! Kudos to you for taking the docs advice!

I absolutely do not believe in depriving myself of anything I want. If it fits into your daily goal, then why not have it? Google for healthier recipes if you want, but I eat pizza when I want it.

1200 is crazy. I did that for awhile, exercising more to eat more and then I decided to eat more to weigh less!!! You can raise your activity level to increase calories or just do it manually. Check out groups like "Feed the Machine" And "Eat more to weigh less" The book "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" is a very…

Oooooo I love PB2, I add it to my protein shake and sprinkle it on my ice cream!

Open up your diary so we can see what you are doing. Please take a minute to look at my diary and my profile has tips as to what I feel is best. This isn't a race so just focus on making good healthy choices. Eat clean, drink water and exercise! And eat to your calorie goal, and make sure you are eating enough!!!

My new favorite snack in 2% cottage cheese, with raisins and almonds....loving it!

Running, floating in the pool, getting a pedi......

No...it's a great photo

MFP has already created a calorie deficit for you. You need to meet that goal, NOT stay under it. You have to think of your body as a machine, when it is fueled properly it will run more efficiently and burn the fat. Educate yourself about BMR and TDEE. Don't eat under your BMR and don't exceed your TDEE and you should do…

Chances are you aren't eating enough. But all anyone can do is guess until you open up your diary.

The 2nd one....but I love the one I have!

Well done, ladies!!!! Now I'd love to see some photos from the over 40's crowd!

I make all my family meals from either Skinnytaste, Cooking Light or Eating Well. Check out their websites!
