  • Cereal...crunchy Banana...stem I guess I am not much help as I picked one for her and one for you!
  • ^^^ This! Boxers are beautiful, intelligent, and sometimes stubborn dogs, this can make training challenging. I know you said you do not have money for a trainer, but that is the best suggestion especially if you are a novice dog owner. I know I was at my wits end a few times with my German Shepherd mix during this stage…
  • I am a hunter. I live in Colorado and there are great unique animals to hunt for. I love the meat and the fact that they are not pumped full of hormones like the meat you can buy in the store. We are doing antelope and elk this year. Good luck to everyone. I would always love to get some new recipies! I have to say, jerky…
  • I have no luck either, so I am interested in hearing what others say.
  • If you have any questions, I can try to help. I have been dealing with it for a while now. Please feel free to PM me if you would like.
  • I am not hunting deer this year, but I am hunting elk and antelope. Normally we go for buffalo (on a ranch) as well, but there was a drought at the farm and we can't do that one this year. I love the fact that the animals aren't pumped full of hormones and antibiotics! I also buy my beef from a farm and not the grocery…
  • Good luck with your appointment. Make sure she knows how to deal with PCOS. You would be surprised how many doctors don't truly understand PCOS. Ask her if your levels are bad enough for Metformin. I found that once I was on the correct dose of Metformin I could truly tell a difference. I was able to sleep, my mood swings…
  • You can always add some protein to help fill you up. Try adding a hard boiled egg or some tuna. That seems to help me.

  • You are not alone, it happens to me too! I find that if I put lotion on my skin before I work out it helps.
  • Welcome! PCOS makes it hard to lose weight. I have lost 20 pounds since April and I am continuing to lose. I started with baby steps (just watching my calorie intake) and then moved to eating better carbs (whole grain and less sugar) and now I am doing the 17 day diet to wean myself off of the breads and sugars. I have…
  • I wasn't going to comment, until you mentioned you have PCOS. There are a lot of us here that have it (me for one) and we all know it is hard to lose weight. We have to work 5 times harder than the average person due to our insulin resistance. A lot of people on here do not know what PCOS is or the fact that it actually is…
  • Does anyone know where I can find this in Colorado? I have not seen it in any of my local grocery stores. I live in Longmont. Thanks!
  • ^^^ This I want a man that knows if he says that I can't do anything, I will not only do it, but I will strive to be the best at it (and do it in heels!). This is how I took up sky diving, shooting and hunting. But I also need a man that is intelligent and will challenge me intellectually as well. Wait...this could be why…
  • I should probably also mention that I need a little structure to be able to eat lower carb at first until I get used to it.
  • I live in Colorado and I have to say that I am going to stick to skiing...I attempted snow boarding 1 time and ended up walking down the mountain to go change into my skis! I hope we have a good season this year!
  • I COMPLETELY understand. I have the dreaded PCOS belly! Just for you that do not understand, people with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) tend to carry their weight in the stomach. Wrap dresses are very nice. I know any of those suck 'em in under garments really help me out as well. I don't tend to wear dresses, I like…
  • I always exercise with my dogs! I have a six year old Akita who is slow and a crazy GSD mix that is 1.5 years old! Because they are so different on their walks, they get seperate ones, which means I get twice the workout! Caden (my mix) is the reason I started running again. We are training her for Agility and Nose work,…
  • Take a break. Your body needs a recovery day, especially when you are using new muscles.
  • I just got a mental image of Pheobe running on a Friends episode...I am probably the only one that remembers that episode, but oh well!
  • Just asking that question is a huge deal! Different activities and events are a big thing, keep it interesting. Do off site activities such as hikes or runs would be nice. Getting people involved and making them feel as though they belong and if they have a suggestion it is something that might actually happen.
  • Sounds soooo good! You always have such great recipies!
  • I thought that was my problem since I started having issues when I moved to Colorado. I finally went to an allergist and found that that I am highly allergic to asprin (my throat closes up) and slightly allergic to ibuprofen. I found out that all of the allergy medicine I was taking for my "allergies" had ibuprofen in it,…
  • I always try to have some rice crackers, mini protein bars and trail mix in my purse just in case. I find that those are the easiest to take when I travel. I also have a bad habbit of raiding the breakfast bar at the hotel for extra fruit to take with me. Everyone laughs, but I am the only one that is not starving when it…
  • When I stick to it, I tend to lose more than MFP estimates. If I have a bad weekend or few days, then I lose less. For me, its a good estimation.
  • Every few months I seem to naturally take 1 week off to give myself a break. I don't go crazy, I just don't track so that I feel I took some time off and then I get right back into it.
  • Very rarely would I only do 30DS, I usually would mix it with a good run and / or do 2 sessions of 30DS. I am now doing Ripped in 30 and I do the same thing with that.
  • My sister lives with me. She works at Costco and has Hyperthyroidism so she does not understand. Not only does she buy crap, but she buys it in bulk! I told her that if I have to continually see the food, I will throw it out no questions asked. She now has a cupboard all to herself so that I do not have to look at the junk…
  • I wish there was something for this, I have a wooly Akita and it takes 3 hours of actively bathing and brushing and conditioning and drying him. In total 5 hours are gone! I think I am actually going to wear my HRM next time so I have some idea of how many calories are being burned doing it. Especially since I am sore for…
  • I so feel where you are coming from. I played soccer in college and when I chose not to do that any longer I became an aerobics instructor and joined the fencing team, I just couldnt sit still. Then I graduated...got a desk job, became lazy and ate horribly. Oh yeah, then I got PCOS. I couldn't get a handle on it. I would…
  • I do not like Jillian Michaels, but her DVD's work. Once I get the routine down I just mute her and I do better. Until then I just yell at her a lot! I threw 30DS in my workouts in the begining, but now I am doing Ripped in 30. I can tell when I haven't been doing her workouts as my whole body feels a little bit looser.
