  • You shouldn't be dieting. Shop sales. Buy in season produce.. don't buy strawberries when they are $5 a container, buy whatever is in season. Stock up on things you use a lot of when they are on a good sale. Buy whatever meat is on sale and stock up if you can when it's a good sale. I find I actually spend less now that we…
  • My husband and I generally eat the same, he just eats more of it. The only difference is that he eats meat, dairy and eggs, I don't so sometimes our meals are a touch different but usually not. If we have tacos, I make hamburger for him and lentils for mine. If I make pizza, half is regular cheese, half is vegan cheese. If…
  • Why doesn't your husband feed the children just before you get home and shower when you get home so you can watch the kids and get something to eat? Make yourself sandwiches for lunch... or wraps. Or, eat what you make for your 4 year old while feeding the baby.
  • It is supposed to take forever! The last few pounds are hard to lose and you need to really work on things to lose them. Have your deficit at 0.5lb per week and really concentrate on diet and exercise.
  • It only works as well as you make it work.
  • Drink water and stay busy to keep your mind off of it.
  • Try lowering how much you are drinking later in the day so you aren't waking up as much.
  • Most mornings I make a smoothie out of frozen fruit, spinach or kale, vanilla soy milk, flax seeds and hemp seeds.
  • Eat when you are hungry. Don't look at the clock to tell you when you should eat. Timing of meals has no effect on weight loss.
  • Pills don't work and are potentially dangerous. Eat properly and exercise.
  • The only way you can have too much fruit is if it is putting you over your calorie goals. Don't worry about the sugar in it. It is healthy for you so don't limit it too much.
  • I don't follow a recipe but love roasted chickpeas. I drain and rinse a can of chickpeas (when I don't have time to make them from dried) and dry in a colander. Spread onto a cookie sheet, toss in oil and whatever spices you like! I love a bit of salt, pepper and cayenne.
  • TVP is a fantastic product! I use it often in place of ground meat as I do not consume meat. It is great for protein and takes on any flavour you want. Soy is not a bad thing to consume as long as you are not consuming high quantities daily. Some here and there is nothing to worry about and will not cause any hormonal…
  • Bee pollen does not cause weight loss. You are losing because of more water, less salt and watching what you eat.
  • What do you eat? How much do you eat? What amount of calories do you consume? Do you eat your workout calories back? Do you use measuring cups for liquids, a scale for all food? Or do you eyeball portions?
  • Unfortunately, stretch marks are scars and therefore will never go away fully without plastic surgery. They will fade in time. Some lotions can help speed up the process but you can save tons of money if you just let time fade them. Stay hydrated and be patient.
  • What kind of heart rate monitor is it? Does it have a chest strap? Or do you need to press a button on the watch to get your heart rate? Did it let you input your age, sex, height and weight?
  • With time they will fade.
  • I personally do not see how eating healthy is more expensive. We actually spend less now that we eat fresh produce and lean meats then we did eating frozen and processed foods. The key is proper planning and shopping. You don't need to shop at places like Whole Foods. We buy all our groceries from WalMart. Great quality…
  • You could plug it into the recipe builder and then estimate the portion of it that you eat. That is normally what I do. There wouldn't be many calories if you do not use normal dressing. The pickles would add a decent amount of sodium which is something to ensure is logged.
  • Unfortunately 6 weeks is not nearly enough time to lose 10lbs if you are already at a good weight and those 10lbs are your last. Aim for no more then 0.5lb per week.
  • Try to find a scale and measure ALL food. Measuring cups are not an accurate measurement of how much a serving is unless it is liquid. 30g of one cereal is more then 30g of another so no one can tell you how much in terms of cups it is.
  • Eat lots of fruits and vegetables! Best way to get fiber.

  • Eat nutritional yeast to get B 12 as it contains protein as well. I have some daily to ensure I get enough B12 in my diet. For protien, I love making seitan. It is good protein, super easy to make and can be made so many different ways. I make a "chicken" version, "bacon" version, and "sausage" version. All are so yummy…
  • I soak briefly in a water, vinegar and salt mixture then rinse.
  • I count any liquid as water (minus alcohol). Even if there is caffeine the drink still hydrates you as you would need a lot of caffeine for it to start to dehydrate you and even then there is more of a hydrating effect then dehydrating.
  • You can try it and see if it helps, may take a few days. Bump up produce to increase fibre. Tons of leafy greens and such. When upping fibre, make sure you increase your water intake as well since not getting enough water will be counterproductive. Sometimes regular exercise helps as well. Increase water as much as you can…
  • A gluten free diet does not equal weight loss. There is no need to go gluten free unless you have an intolerance or are celiac. There is nothing bad about gluten for the average person. I lose weight perfectly fine and eat a lot of gluten as it is in a lot of vegetarian meats and I use gluten flour to make my own seitan.…
  • At your current height and weight you are within the healthy range. Your current calorie goal is far too low. Set your weekly goal to 0.5lb and eat your exercise calories back. With so little to lose, and being so close to healthy weight already you do not want a large deficit. Because of your current height and weight,…
  • You should be netting much more then 1200 calories. Netting so little will increase muscle loss you experience along the way. You should be as close to 0 calories remaining as possible at the end of the day. You should be aiming for a calorie deficit of no more then 1000 calories at the end of the week considering your…
