I think I got muscle building and strength training confused. :P
-
TeaBea, I probably should have just said I'm looking to get lean first, and then muscle. Wasn't thinking about the calorie (haven't *seriously* counted calories for some time) side of things. Basically what I'm going for is to look toned without worrying about the scale.

Thanks. I'm currently super whimpy. I just had a baby, and did next-to-nothing for exercise the whole time. I think body weight will work well for a while, at least. Trying to focus on getting lean and healthy vs what the scale says (not liking what it says right now, lol).

Loooove Japanese school uniforms, though I think they could stand to make their skirts longer...
-
I love children. Simple as that. They are everything to me.
-
Because I like kids? I have 5 and plan to have one more. :)
-
I'm 5'2. I would like to be 135 at the heaviest. Ultimate goal weight would be ideally 115-110.
-
Much. :)
-
I have a friend in real life named Molly.
-
To be fair, not everyone is this way. I lose weight much faster once I've weaned the baby.
-
Nope. I'm currently BFing, and while I absolutely hate how slow the weightloss is for me, I still wouldn't do it.
-
Weightloss is soooooooo slow when I'm breastfeeding. :/ Its not just the last ten lbs, its the whole journey! No advice, but I hear ya.
-
This sounds awesome. :)

I may be in the minority, but I just tried a Pure Protein bar today, and it was naaaasty. Had a really chalky taste to it. Bleh. A lot of people seem to like it, though, so it wouldn't hurt to try, but maybe just buy one first to see if you like it.

Me neither (okay, maybe a little). The baby could have been seriously harmed. I would at least carry some pepper spray. It obviously wouldn't help in this type of situation, but it could come in handy if you get someone too close while out on your walk.
-
This. OP, so sorry that happened. I have little ones and I would be soooooo upset if something like that happened.
-
True, that.
-
No, it's just me and my assumptions, not compassionless. :) They may (or may not) be excuses, but she's a frazzled tired lady with a new born baby and may be dealing with baby blues and all that jazz. Your post was extremely harsh. Anyway, I'm going to bed too.
-
Good one! I actually went to get some this morning, and saw I was out. Grr. They are also awesome in oatmeal.
-
Uh, I did. You know, it wouldn't kill you to have a little compassion, especially in regards to something you seem to know nothing about.
-
Just curious, have you had any children yourself?
-
Double post.
-
I've had five kids, my youngest is about 3.5 weeks, so I'm (again), kinda in the same boat as you. Oatmeal is a quick and healthy option for breakfast. Fruit and peanut butter another. If you really don't have time, pour yourself a bowl of cereal and call it good, or eat a banana and granola bar. Lunch: Sanwiches, any…

Agree with the OP, but am content to just stay out of those threads.
-
Me too, to an extent. try salads with protein added, and broth based soups, maybe. Helps me a lot.
-
I havent read through all the posts, but look up thegraciouspantry.com. Beats Tosca Reno and the Clean Eating mag right out of the water. She eats meat, but has a lot of vegan stuff.

I personally don't drink alcohol, but I would especially would steer clear of alcohol. I have seen and lived with people who have had fetal alcohol syndrome and its nothing I would dare risk with my children. Not jumping on anyones case here, its just not something I would do myself.

When people say "bump," It tucks the particular topic under the tab "My Topics," so they can go back and find it later. It also puts the topic at the top of the threads.
-
Ahahaha!!! Totally agree.

This too. I've walked many a mile at the playground.
