  • You can use whatever you want! It's just the "vehicle" that you use to get the fats in to your body. I will say, last I checked, caffeine assisted in upping your metabolism.
  • WAZZUP!!!! Nice to meet you!
  • Interesting. Guess I didn't catch that. Thanks.

  • I was just reading a post last night about snacks. Let me find the link for you. https://www.isavea2z.com/top-10-keto-snacks/ There you go. There are some good ones there.
  • How is this Keto friendly? My diet has me at no more than 22g carbs for the day.

  • Well, I'm new here, but I'll introduce myself. My name is Adam, aka webdevsoup (I do web development, and my last name is Campbell, so Soup was my nickname in the military). I started Keto 1 week ago today, and so far, I'm loving it. I use the Ruled.Me 30 Day Meal Plan and recipe book. Week 1 was a little tough, because…
  • I made some this morning. 8 oz of coffee, 1TBSP Coconut Oil, 1 TBSP Heavy Cream, 1 TBSP Unsalted Butter, a dash of cinnamon, and a little bit of liquid Stevia Extract. Pretty good. I would suggest blending it, or getting a stick blender, so that you can properly emulsify the fats. Pretty good, tasted good, I feel full.
  • Checkout the ruled.me website. they have a lot of keto information. I have their 30 day plan. Menus, recipes, and all nutritionals, all for free.
  • Ketoproof coffee.... 2 Cups Coffee 2 Tbsp. Grass Fed Unsalted Butter 2 Tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil (or MCT oil) 1 Tbsp. Heavy Cream (Optional) 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract (Optional)
  • Yes yes yes please.... I LOVE pumpkin beers. The only time I've tried to do a Pumpkin beer (2 times, actually), BOTH of them got infected. May give it a go again though. We will see. Oktoberfest I think I only attempted an "ale" style of this beer, or at least wrote a recipe for it. I need to brew. I miss brewing. YUM BEER
  • I check in every now and again, and have a lot going on right now. But I try and get here as often as possible. As stated earlier, it can die off a bit at times. But, we're always here. :)

  • Care to share that recipe? ;-) I'm getting some Pliny sent to me very soon, but it takes a bit to get here.
  • Sounds about right! If you don't eat enough calories, your body will store whatever you feed it, because it goes in to "starvation mode". Good pickups!
  • So, I had a weird thought... how long has it been since you changed the battery in your scale? A dying battery can cause crazy changes.
  • Well, good luck! I hope you find that "sweet spot" (my first time ever hearing of a sweet spot). I'm about to jump my training up ten-fold by doing T25 and running.
  • What are you set to lose through MFP in your profile? 2lbs per week? Let's do the math. If you want to lose 1 pound per week, you have to consume 500 calories LESS per day than your TDEE, or 3500 calories per week. So, 2318-500 = 1818. Now, don't eat your burned calories back (consuming what you've burned off, that's…
  • Remember your weight can fluctuate due to sodium, water retention, etc etc etc. I wouldn't worry about the weight thing. You're a daily weigher just like me, and I wonder the same things. As far as logging, I log all of my food with MFP, then I wear my HRM, and record my exercise burn from there. I don't use a FitBit. I…
  • I missed the last 2 days due to "celebrating" the Marine Corps Birthday and Veteran's Day (USMC, 2000-2004). So, I'm going to be doubling up today, tomorrow, and the double on Friday to catch up. Don't expect much out of me the next 3 days but complaining about how sore I am.
  • Lower Focus sucks... I can't stand it. My legs are ON FIRE.... Looking forward to when they DON'T hurt when I do this workout! ;-)
  • Here's a link to P90. And a description: Extreme programs like P90X® aren't for everyone. So welcome to the all-new P90—your gateway to getting fit regardless of your age or fitness level! Legendary trainer Tony Horton has now created shorter workouts that are simple, doable, and less extreme than his others, but still…
  • Tax - Correct. The one that just came out earlier this month.
  • Call me Adam... And you're welcome! :)
  • Here's a quote that JUST came on Shaun T's facebook: "Progress is not determined by the way you look. It's determined by the determination you have to look the way you look. Just keep the focus and YOUR best body will come. Just keep looking at your own reflection!"
  • I think you should push through. Continue to do the modifiers. It takes a while to build muscle, and discipline to do it. The biggest part is NOT GIVING UP! As your body works more and more, you'll build more and more muscle. As long as you don't over-exert yourself, you won't get injured. Keep doing the modifiers, keep…
  • I expect to defeat this week, and not let it defeat me! I am planning on running in the mornings, if I can wake up early enough, and doing T25 in the evenings. :)
  • @skinny4me2be You can do this! as long as numbers are decreasing, they're going in the RIGHT direction! When you reach your goal weight/size, the numbers will stop altogether. But that doesn't mean YOU have to stop being healthy! You got this!
  • BOO YA! Lost 1.4 pounds this morning! :)
  • I'm all caught up! Did Speed 1.0, took an hour break, cranked out Cardio! YEAH BABY!
  • @skinny4me2be - I can't be 100% certain it will drown his voice out, but I know, in my opinion, it's HARDER for me to hear Shawn T (or any other fitness person in another program, like Les Mills Combat) when I turn the volume up to loud.
