  • I also do pesto (either sundried tomato or basil) and a little fresh grated parmesan. Yumm.
  • Best advice: eat less, move more Worst advice: anything with "detox" or "cleanse"
  • Same! With running & strength training, currently at 140, with hope of trying to get to 135.
  • I'm also 5'4" and started last September at 170... so far I've lost 30 lbs, built a lot of muscle and am 5-10 lbs away from my goal. I never considered I was "dieting" - just changed my habits, logged my food without being too restrictive with what I ate, and began a new active lifestyle. Making sure this healthy lifestyle…
  • When I was on Weight Watchers, I was obsessed with ALWAYS having the lowest-calorie option (artificially sweetened yogurts, fat-free cheeses, "light" everything etc.). When I joined MFP, I realized there was more to life than worrying about low-cal/fat-free all the time and that I COULD eat full-fat "real" foods within my…
  • Agreed! I use plain greek 0% yogurt for everything, including a base for creamy dressings all the time. Try grainy mustard and blob of honey = creamy honey mustard dressing. Or Franks hot sauce & bit of blue cheese. Grated cucumber, fresh garlic, lemon zest and dried herbs etc.
  • I LOVE my running leash sold by Irondoggy.com - it clips around your waist, is somewhat of a "bungee cord", very sturdy and has handles for when you need to hold on to them. I run with 2 dogs (one on either side) and the leash has been a lifesaver - helps keep everyone in place and my arms from being pulled out of their…
  • I'm 5'4"... after losing 30 lbs, I am trying desperately to get to 135, but my body is VERY content to stay at 140 lbs. I'm quite muscular, wear a size 4 and am (somewhat) content with being 140 (I think). Last 5 lbs is difficult.
  • Bourbon = Woodford Reserve Scotch = Aberlour A'Bunadh (cask strength) And I'm off to Scotland in October for a Whisky Tour!
  • Top with a little pesto (I use roasted tomato pesto) and a bit of parmesan cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Delish.
  • Don't say "diet", say it's a healthy lifestyle change.
  • A few people have complimented me recently on my REALLY well toned arms... I work hard on those, but well worth the effort!
  • I turn 40 in October this year... and for the past 9 months I have been on a journey to be "Fabulous" by then. I am nearly there - I have lost 30 lbs and am 5 lbs away from my goal weight now. I am stronger, faster and in the best shape of my life and feel better at 39 (& 3/4) than I did at 29!
  • I didn't read all the previous posts, so someone may have suggested it already. I do exercises EVERY time I go to the washroom (which is often because I drink a ton of water). Depending on the size of the bathroom (probably doesn't work well in a single-stall), you can do squats, lunges, wall push-ups, pliés, etc. Create a…
