Juicing and eating plant based diet. That is the best plan I have ever done. You feel great and the weight just falls off. Research, plan, prepare and do it. I eat around 1200 cals a day. For my level of exercise that is working well.

The one I made tonight? 5 strawberries, handful of walnuts, ounce of raisins, slice of red onion, vinegar 1/4cup, water 1/4 cup, spices of choice...mine were garlic powder, onion powder, celery seed, pepper. whip it in a high speed blender until smooth. Out of this world.

Thanks so much! To answer a question... I had no trouble with making juices. I made 3 big 16-22 0z juices a day and drank a lot of water. I would vary the recipes and found right off the bat I could not tolerate Kale. So all my greens were Romaine lettuce and Spinach. Kale was too harsh. I only had the occasional "fruit"…

Tonia, I graduated from Weight Watchers 5 times. LOL! Now I am really making changes. Thankfully you have youth on your side so PLENTY of time to get things right. Think of what you have learned from your last weight loss. What can you do differently this time. Maybe you will learn a new or better way. I am motivated THIS…

If you have Netflix check out the film Hungry for Change. That gave me unbelievable motivation. It has changed my whole way of thinking of food and how I can work and live with it in a healthy way! I did a 7 day juice fast to get me started. Now I juice twice a day and eat a really healthy meal of plant based foods. I am…

feedback: when I made this I made 2 ...I froze one and just had it for breakfast (from freezer to toaster oven on 425 for 25 mins) PERFECT!

I think she mentions in the article it is the idea of using glass jars (specifically says it will not work with plastic) that keeps the salad fresh...and she did it 7 days without the vacumn process. She used canning jars and popped them into the fridge. At least that is what I have read in her account...I am going to try…

She said to have cooked eggs and bacon crumbles in a separate container and add later.

Great work in those pics! wow! one year ago about 27 lbs heavier for me. Still working on the last 3 to hit the 30# loss.

Try eating a good Protein breakfast. If I eat eggs I have no hunger until lunch. I sometimes will have a piece of fruit midway but that is all. Most times I am not hungry until lunch time. Then I try to have tuna or chicken for lunch. A satisfying soup is also enough for me...homemade in my case. That is also something…

My first day was April 13th...I have lost 27 lbs and my MD is thrilled...asked me yesterday at my physical HOW did I do it. I said I log in every morning (almost 100% of the time) log in my breakfast and see what I have left to work with the rest of the day. Rarely do I go over my 1300-1350 cals...except vacation...but you…

"At the end of the day it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished....It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you have given back." (Denzel Washington) I have this on the homepage of my website. It is my favorite.

On April 13th I started this. I weighed 185.8 my all time high. I was given 1350 cals a day from MFP to work with. I measured and weighed my food and logged in everyday. I don't exercise. I have lost 27 lbs and am 3 lbs away from my goal. I eat enough of good food everyday ...3 meals, and at least 3 snacks a day. Have a…

Log into your food diary and be honest with what you log in. Do it EVERYDAY. Forget about TIME. Just stick with it. Slow and Steady wins the race. This is TRUE. There are no short cuts. :flowerforyou:

This is a great question and I think it happens to all of us in the beginning when we finally WANT to know what that meal is going to cost us! LOL And you nailed the idea of a Calorie Budget. I do really think of it as calorie money for the day...What am I willing to "pay" from my 1300 cals a day? is what I ask myself. It…

 I think you have it figured out...but just give yourself time....TIME. I have been here 145 days or so (consecutively ) and have lost 27lbs. I do 1350 or 1300 cals and 9 glasses of water. At least 2 snacks a day. Use the diary everyday...stay honest with myself. Never exercise (I hate it) and as long as I never…

Since being here and eating 3 meals and a minimum of 2 snacks a day...breakfast is a must for me. I make sure I have protein at each meal so for me I love this one: grate 1/3 of small potato grate 1/4 small onion use TBS of Real Bacon Bits or 1 diced sausage patty (Jimmie Dean for example) Saute in non stick pan until…
