Why the heck, if they incorrectly reported what she did, would Fung have to pull the post? I hate liars!
-
Can I have the cliff notes version of the article because it's been removed.

I have read (I don't remember where, so I can't source) that you can reverse some retinopathy with this way of eating when your bloodsugars aren't so high all the time.
-
Thank you everyone. I know I could pop over that (hopefully not) but it was really exciting to see that 2XX.

@Cadori I don't have Fibro myself, so I can't give you a "personal" yea or nay. There are many folks on the FasciaBlaster FaceBook group that have said how much the tool has helped them reduce and manage their pain. I'm sure you could join the group and get direct feedback from people who suffer from Fibro. If your husband…

I have and I do. Tortuous it is, it also works, for me and many others. for many things beyond helping with skin elasticity. Fibro, Lupus, RA, plantar fascitis, cellulite. There's a FaceBook group if you want to find out more. It's its own rabbit hole, but one I've been glad I fell down.

@RowdysLady look up the Fasciablaster by Ashley Black.

@aspoerr1 I did a cheat day several weeks ago. It was planned as well as my food following the cheat day for a week. Just to make sure that it was only ONE day and I could indeed get back on track right away. I could and I did, but I may be the exception that proves the rule as that seems to be a recurring theme in my…

@Ominu I'm in the same boat with a recent (mid-August) T2 diagnosis. First let me say, this is a marathon not a sprint. You can't FORCE the weight off your body. You have to look at this as your body needs time to heal, and you don't get to set the schedule for that. One presumes that you didn't develop T2 overnight, that…

I'm sorry about the meat, FG, but I'm really glad you seem to be okay. Keep checking in.

Hmm. I'm of two minds (as I usually am). On the top of my list is being healthy. The heart thing and the T2 diagnosis really scared the bejeebus out of me. So normal bloodsugars and a clean bill of health top my what-I-want-out-of-all-this-effort/focus list. After that the list gets more interesting (at least to me). In no…

So, I've been sick since the LexiScan on the 15th & 16th, feeling like complete and utter poo. Phlegmy. Tired. Sore throat, Cough. And tonight I really wanted Pacific's Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup. But it's like 18 carbs per cup and I would have had at least two. It was really hard to pass up. But I did. My weight is…

Welcome @ravensdiet15 I've been in the group for a few weeks and just starting on my LCHF journey. I'm working on getting rid of 180lbs, of which, I've lost about 10. So, I'm in a very similar boat. Although for me the focus is on getting my blood glucose down. Feel free to add me as a friend. And as the others have said…

Sounds like you may have found your exercise bug. Congrats. and continue all the wonderful work.

So, blending the sweeteners seems to counter the effect of the bitter taste for me. There are sucrose/splenda tablets that are that and that only on amazon that you can can smash between two spoons or with a mortar and pestle. The problems with splenda (either in the packets or in the "baking" size) is that they cut it…

The healing part is really important. And so much of our damage we can't see! I'm a perfect example. I was dropping at a steady rate over the last month and then this past week I got sick, both my weight and my fasting blood glucose popped up -- my weight by 4lbs and my FBG by 20+ pts. I feel a little better today, not…

Okay, so I'm going to attempt to explain what causes clogged arteries. If I get it wrong hopefully someone will come in and correct me. 1) Inflammation (damage) in the artery is the start of a clog. Things that cause inflammation are high insulin levels (from highly processed foods/carbs), stress (cortisol), lack of Omega…

Good for you. One of the things I'm really looking forward to is retesting in December.

I'm in the NSV camp too. Control and balance. Plus the best part--experience. Notice what you held onto of the experience. You didn't come back and say "Omg it broke my reslove." You came back and said "Ugh, it made me feel bad." So next time you have that choice you'll be at least a little less likely to go to sugarland.
-
That's wonderful. It is satisfying when we can control our health. Keep going. You got this.

I was just coming to post this same article.

Jason Sieb talks alot about metbolic flexibility too. Interesting stuff.

It's working its way out there. Hopefully, the tide will turn soon.

Rosey, I am in a very similar boat. And Dr. Fung's work and way of interpreting the data have given me so much hope. T2 is totally curable. I haven't read the book but a ton of stuff on his site and I watched his 6 part series that he developed for his patients, which is on his youtube. I binge watched that; I don't…

Be proud you were practicing a brand new muscle -- it's called the restraint muscle. Go you!

@Sunny_Bunny_ I think this is awesome. Not that you were sore but that you are giving lifting a try. I can't wait until I've lost enough weight that I can add lifting. I hope your lift day went/goes well today. The soreness does go away, just hold on to that until it does. What will hooking is seeing your muscle definition…
