I'm in! Already lost 77lbs, getting rid of the rest has been a real challenge- but I'm committed.

Keeps my mind off things, better health is a bonus
-
Will add, could always use\give motivation!

Last year I stopped at 30lbs, giving it another go. Really want to drop and keep off at least 100lbs. :)

Been on day 1 for almost a year now . But seriously, I've gotten back to keeping my exercise consistent and eating a lot better than I used to. Add me if you'd like.

+1 count me in. I'm just starting out, lost 7lb already!

Just starting out on a regular walking routine. We have a walking track near my office, so I'm out there at least 3 times a week. I also changed up my eating habits, going on 3 weeks strong and I feel great!

Here's a few for me: - Having to offset my weight with 2-3 other people on the opposite side of carnival rides. - Walking on wood floors and hearing them creek - Bike tires looking like they are constantly flat while riding - Looking in the fridge and shouting 'who ate all the...' - then realizing it was me. - Having a…

1,200 cals right here. I've adjusted to protein shakes for breakfast, solid lunches, balanced with fruit and granola bars for snacks. I'm still new to this, so it may not be the best way to go. My food diary is open to friends.

I didn't read all the comments above, maybe someone mentioned it already- but what has really helped me get started in my weight loss journey was cleaning out my cabinets and fridge. I threw out all the junk food - bags, cans, frozen meals and replaced them with fruits and low calorie, low sugar snacks. I eventually…

While I never told anyone, I was scared about my overall health. I got winded very easily, started getting huge swollen ankles, and would eat anything in sight. This is my 100th attempt as well :) and I'm 4 weeks strong and no longer have these issues. My officially weigh-in is next weekend, and I'm super excited to see…

I'm in the same boat, looking to drop 80lbs by next summer. Now I'm back on MFP ready to finally lose this weight. Feel free to add.

I had the same issue a few weeks back. I tried to cut calories before my body could adjust. Next thing you know I was making a sandwich in the middle of the night, along with some harmless potato chips- from the bag. I realized first that I needed to remove the unhealthy snacks from the home completely. I got fruits…

Lots of great responses, thanks everyone! I had considered taking a 'before' pic while I'm still at the start of my fitness journey, maybe I'll save them until I reach my first milestone (75lbs) then upload them. I can't deny that the motivation factor plays a big (literally) part in pressing toward your goals. Sometimes I…

So much great advice above! Keep at it. I started walking a mile everyday since last week, I've also changed my diet a few weeks prior to that. I've gradually replaced a meal with a protein shake and started drinking a lot more water. I feel different, I don't feel sluggish anymore; and I also look forward to hitting the…

Welcome to MFP! I just started tracking my weight and calories again after being offline for a long time. As mentioned above, take it one day at a time. This past spring I was at my max weight, short of breath, and developed this painful stinging in my knees. I cut back on sugary drinks and tried eating healthier during…

Add me if you'd like, working on losing 75lbs by next summer, then another 100 by the following year. Been consistent going on 4 weeks now.
-
I wouldn't mind some extra motivation and encouragement!

I reached my max weight earlier this year, so I decided to recommit to losing 50-75lbs by next summer. I've been going strong on MFP for about 3 weeks. We've got a long way to go, feel free to add!

I'm back after being away for several months- I do my best to log everything, it helps me keep my calorie intake in check. Good luck

I just started the Mass Effect Trilogy (Xbox 360). Tried playing it before, but I just couldn't get into it- probably because it's too wordy, packed with choices, and a moral system. The controls for ME1 are horrible- BUT, I'm willing to give it another go.

35 days strong, I can attest that the scale started working (lol), and clothes fit looser after a month of health(ier) eating and regular exercise.
-
Gradually get back into your exercise routine, go for healthy snacks between meals, and have plenty of water to stay hydrated. Bouncing back from excess calories is challenging, but stay determined to make the right choices and you'll be back on track soon enough.

I tried insanity about a year ago, only because it was all the buzz at work. I lost about 8lbs real quick, but ended up stopping because I was in so much pain. I didn't listen to Shawn T when he said "it's not for everybody", lol. I might try it again, when I know my body can handle it. Great workout though.

I've heard a lot of good things about Fitbit products. I wanted to get one myself, but my wrists are too bit according the printable fitting chart. I'm going to have to earn this one :)
-
I was the worst with not-so-healthy snacks, took everything in me to ignore the vending machine or student snack store at work. I started buying peanuts and granola in bulk, then just keep them in small containers near my desk or in my backpack.
-
Congrats on making a change! You're well on your way!

I used to overeat a lot, and I know resisting the urge is difficult. I find it's good to have a snack between meals and drink plenty of water. At first didn't believe this stuff about water tricking your body into thinking you're full. But it's helped me for the past few weeks.

Father of 5 (soon to be 6) kids, ages range from 1yr to 10yo. Wife is an awesome stay at home mom. Adjusting to a healthier lifestyle has been a challenge, but we are determined for a change. Not just for us as parents, but for our children as well. Feel free to add!

Where do I sign? March got me used to eating better and having a regular exercise routine.
