  • Primal Noatmeal. You can make it the night before and then grab it in the morning. Takes about a total of ten minutes. 1 med banana 3 egg whites 1 whole egg 1 tbs almond butter 1/2 c. milk Smash banana in a bowl and mix with the egg whites and whole eggs. Add milk and put in a small sauce pan on medium heat. Whisk in…
  • How does he do eating healthy fats? For example, avocados, nuts, olive oils? You can add all of them to a basic salad and it will add a ton of calories and still be good for his heart and health. If he's a picky eater and if he doesn't really want to add the weight there isn't much you can do to change that. And as long as…
  • Hmm, that's a tough call. The common belief that you can burn 400 calories in 20 minutes with KBs is based on an entirely different style of moves and using a heavier bell. I would do a combo of 15 minutes vigoruous calisthenics and 10 minutes weight lifting. The best way to know would be to get a heart rate monitor.
  • What size KB are you using?
  • Find a kettlebell instructor and learn how to do swings. Or learn how to properly lift free weights. Lift something heavy.
  • If you'd need help with this a bit more feel free to friend me! :)

Then I felt defeated, started eating too much, working out too little and basically gained the weight back. It can really screw with your head so…
  • To get how many calories your body uses per day to maintain your CURRENT weight you need to get your BMR (basal metabolic rate), which I believe a calculator is available on MFP. As for dropping your calories that low, don't do it. If you start out too low, there's no where to go when you plateau except to add more…
  • I'm 38, 5'3" and at 180. Had lost about 30 lbs 5 years ago, gained some back, and am now heavier than when I lost the first time. I am very active and know how to train but diet always gets me. I started back and I'm down 3lbs this first week which is probably all water but at least its something. I train with kettlebells…
  • Wow, you described my life exactly! My family relocated to Cleveland for my husband's job and I was able to get a job after 2 months. I"ve been in my current job for two years as a grant writer for a nationally recognized nonprofit. The environment is VERY toxic and there's nothing we can do except endure what comes our…
  • Hello All, I'm new here but I'm an RKC (Russian Kettlebell Certified) Instructor and there's been lots of talk about that 400 in 20 minute article. It's based on doing a regimented advanced workout using a KB move called the snatch. At 175 lbs, I typically use a 35 lb bell for this workout. So, using a 10 lb bell with a…
