  • It is hard for me to eat the same foods every day because I get bored pretty easily. I'm the same way with my workouts. If I eat the same foods, I tend to binge on crappy foods later on.
  • Height, 5'5 CW: 189.5 GW: 130
  • Something that works for me is portioning things out and then putting them away where I can't see them all the time (like a cupboard I don't open often). That way, I don't overeat them on two different levels.
  • I just joined the group today. This will definitely motivate me to walk more. I'm glad to have something to hold me accountable.
  • I've always known that water causes weight fluctuations, bu this really helped me out more. What about when you're dehydrated and you don't get ENOUGH water and your body holds onto the little water you drank (maybe four cups) rather than expelling the excess.
  • I overeat nuts so quickly. I LOVE them, which is why I try not to keep them around too often.
  • I think 160. I haven't been that since my freshman year of college, I don't think. I would love to reach my high school weight of 140, but it seems so difficult.
  • Fat shaming, well, body shaming of any type is unacceptable, mainly because you have absolutely no idea about the lives of the people who you are shaming. The other factor is that they use the argument "unhealthy" which is crap. I know a lot of, by medical standards, overweight people that are perfectly healthy. They eat…
  • I used to gain up to 10 pounds during my TOM. I am sure I still do, but I've stopped weighing myself when it's that time because it's just frustrating.
  • I think it is partially a mental thing. For me, even when I was at my lowest weight, I still felt fat. I know that there is a lot of self-love I need to learn in order to be really happy with my body. It's hard sometimes, though. It's a slow process.
  • I'm 26, getting ready to turn 27! Always looking for new friends!
  • I drink a glass of water to see if that helps, because sometimes I'm just thirsty and that's how my body tells me. Other times I will have tea to help make me feel full.
  • You and me both. Emotional eating/eating when bored, etc. is the biggest problem I have. If I have any sweets in the house, I'm going to eat them, but I also don't seem to be able to go without them. I am trying now to buy things like Popsicles or lower-calorie sweets to keep around. Or smaller things, like one piece of…
  • If you are exercising and weight training that many days of the week and losing inches, you're probably gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so that's probably why the scale is throwing you off.
  • Lately I have been having cereal with some cranberries and walnuts mixed in with 1% milk. It is actually really good and filling with the additions. You could vary this with different additives, of course.
  • I very much understand that. If I was having relationship troubles or dating issues, food was my go-to companion. Because it tasted better than I was feeling. Of course, it is a vicious circle, because I would then blame all my problems on my weight. When I started dating my current bf, it was like, oh, hey, he is…
  • Mine really started getting bad in my early 20s, right after I graduated college. I started working at a place that served food that was really bad for you, but free, so it was easy to eat. I also wasn't walking to class every day, so I wasn't getting any exercise. And from then I think my metabolism just shut down and is…
  • Are you tracking your measurements? You might be gaining muscle which might explain the stall in weight loss since muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes the scale isn't the best indicator of success.
  • Hi! I'm happy to support you on this journey, as I need support myself. Feel free to add me!
  • Measurements are the best way to track weight loss. The reason being is that muscle ways more than fat, so while you may be losing inches, you might be gaining weight. I have this same problem when I am exercising. I almost never lose actual weight, but my inches go down.
  • I'm Lauren from Ohio, but getting ready to move to Florida in August. I'd love to be your friend on here! I just started on this site, too.
