Because I found that, at that weight, my running was at a premium. Also, I now carry a lot of bodyfat.

Yes, I was lifting throughout the weight gain........however, it was too rapid to have seen real lean muscle results (at least visually).

Would running do the trick? Whenever muscle building comes up, the default always seems to be "cut cardio" but I have a passion for the running

I have tried in the past.....every last pound goes to my hips and stomach, I end of freaking out and losing it all again

Thanks for the answers. The reason I started dieting in the first place was to tone up a bit, it is frustrating as despite all the activity and clean eating, I still lack a lot of definition (and muscle it has to be said)........

To cwolfman13, I 100% get where you are coming from, but I tend to get no good out of eating dirty foods in moderation.......more of an all or nothing type guy:happy:

I thought that fasting and plenty of fluids would of flushed out the high levels of sodium.......get rid of that yucky "bloated" feeling

BTW forgot to mention my doctor recently told me to gain 10-20 lbs as I am underweight considering my activity levels.........:smile:
