Thank you all so much for the advice! One more quick questions, do you think I can find body recomposition workouts I can do at home, with just 6lbs dumbbells?

Getting underweight is not what I am trying to do. The 5kg is the flabby tummy, lovehandles and arm fat that I'm trying to lose. I see how by looking at the measuremeants it seems like I'm trying to become anorexic, but actually 55kg is the weight I've felt most comfortable at. When my stomach doesn't make 3 rolls when I…

@SueInAz - I eat a maximum of 1200 kcals a day. I'm not weighing, I'm just controlling my portions as well as I can and try to eat as little as it keeps me full. @callsitlikeiseeit - How can you tell?
-
@PAV8888: Wait, haha, I didn't mean I don't want to go to the gym, I just said I'm tired and, frankly, quite out of cash for the moment, but I used to go. After I read the advice here, I suppose the reason I wasn't successful is that I used to focus on cardio and I didn't have a trainer to advise me.

@loulamb7: Thank you very much!

@SezxyStef: Yes, I figured it was a body composition issue. My best friend is the same height and weight as me and she has lean muscle everywhere. Do you have any suggestions as to where you're supposed to start with the body recomposition? Thank you! :)
-
@PAV8888: Thank you! You were really helpful!
-
@loulamb7: No, it's not. I've been meaning to check that error but I haven't managed to get to the end of it. I actually started losing at about 136 lbs.
-
@PAV8888: Thank you!
-
@LBuehrle8 : Actually, I checked again, since we use the metric system here and it was a conversion error, I'm actually 5.7, which is 173 cm? Is that correct?
-
@mymodernbabylon: I have tried to focus on building muscle, but I still have a big amount of fat around my stomach and my thighs.
-
@cathipa: Yes, this is helpful. I learned that when I keep track on my meals it helps me restrict to a decent amount of calories, often around 1200 kcals. But some days I just don't and it makes me feel like I lack willpower.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful:)

So how did it work out for you? I'm guessing PCOS, which is why I was prescribed birth control pills but I'm now on my 3rd month on them and nothing has really changed (except the period-related things, of course). Do you think that must be it? And again, how did you manage to get back to normal eating and healthy hair?

I eat one hard boiled egg (or two, in an omelet) and more or less 100 g cheese a day. The cheese is not too fat (not because I'm trying to cut out on fat, but because this is how I like cheese). However, I used to eat a lot more in the past and my body looked the same.

Pretzels, deep fried, fast food... I gave up everything because I was desperately trying to lose weight and stupid.

I got tested for thyroid problems and it's all fine.

Honey I need muscle.

I don't want to spot reduce, I just need to tone my side muscles:)

That sounds helpful! I'm definitely going to try it when I get home. It's ok, I can find something heavy enough around the house. Thanks so much!:)

This is really helpful. Thanks a lot!

It's not that it's big, it's just that I expected no love handles and excess fat (even if it's quite a little amount of it) at as light as 51kg. Eat more? You mean how much more? Also, my diet is pretty yo-yo, since I have days when I barely eat 1000 calories and exercise on top of that and days when I hit 2000 cals or…

I discovered that, sometimes, what I eat for breakfast influences my appetite for the entire day. If I have oatmeal and honey for breakfast (or, I suppose, anything sweet) I am more likely to overeat or binge on sweets or junk food during the day. On the other hand, I noticed that when I eat a hard-boiled egg, tomatoes, a…

I reduced my sugar intake from sweets A LOT, now I just have it 2 times a week at most and I mostly eat fruit anyway. This is what I usually crave during summer. Thanks a lot!:)

That's reassuring. I'm still trying to accomodate with how my body reacts to different calorie intakes and since my eating is so chaotic, I find it hard to observe a pattern and decide how much is too much.

During binge days, those last 800 calories are over the calorie limit.
