  • I've been a healthy eater for many years (losing 75 lbs in the process). Took a diet break and gained 25 back. Maintained for a couple years. Now back to losing but it's sloooow going. I've always eaten lots of veggies and fruit but with weight lifting, I've always had lots of protein by way of meat. I don't eat a lot of…
  • And I have to speak for my man (not really) Alan. He's not an exercise researchers. He's a formally educated nutrition scientist. Many of his papers are published (pub med) and he's brilliant. And he does believe that 2 weeks at maintenance should be enough to bring you back to ore dieting metabolism. He works with sports…
  • Yes, well, from my previous work, over the 12 weeks, 2300 was my TDEE so I'm still going with that but it just weird to see the number so high doing the same things. Heart health is good to very good so Im happy about that!
  • Waves....still here. Weight WEds 196 Sat 199 LOL Lifting, on a deficit. Still hate the scale. Clothes the same. New fitbit (charge 2) shows higher cals burned total then the flex. Had it about 2 weeks now. Days that I work (housecleaner) and lift show total burn of 2971 and only 7935 steps. Work and no lifting 2669 cals.…
  • Wednesday morning weigh in was 197.4 Anniversary dinner yesterday (20th!!!!) but still finished with Cal target and macros decent. Good lifting session yesterday, too. Downward trend showing on the scale. Body is starting to show signs of reshaping back to where I was even though clothing is still the same size. Just…
  • I weigh daily. I only consider same day of week per month actual. Weight Monday was 198.8 and I had pizza the day before...so water weight from lifting for sure. Which I knew. No weigh in yet for today (I weigh in at 9 am every morning). Lifting sessions are great! Data for cut week 1 will be Tues to Tues (today until next…
  • Ok... a little random data from the weekend. Saturday weight 197. I lifted Saturday. Added some more volume (sets) to lifting session but no additional exercises or weight. Sunday weigh in was 200.4 Saturday food was 2166 so about where I've been. No eating out food...so not a sodium concern. Just how oddly I fluctuate.…
  • Either 5.8 or 9.8 LOL I had to beginning weights (one normal weight I was at for a long time and one right after a holiday gathering). On page 4 of this thread I go into the math of my reset if you care to read it.
  • Morning all! I'm reopening this thread to add more data to it. I reread all my old posts and replies and it's important data here. For me and others, really. I'll be adding new data here. I don't wear the body media armband currently but I do have my fit bit flex (which I manually add my lifting in) so I'll be adding that…
  • I've not been a good, consistent girl. I am back, however and will be updating this thread as I log data. It was the most consistent I've been so I know that's where I need to be. Summer has been busy and hectic.
  • Thank you both! Day 3 back on track and I feel good!
  • So, if you want to know where I've been....Here I am. The weight was coming off slow. I panicked. Jumped around from low to med cals and workouts sporadic. Stress is at an all time high (my husband is due for surgery soon) and overall just tanked. So, weight jumped up to 207 Which freaked be out because I was 178 last…
  • Yes. Only when I go too low.
  • Got mine. Verdict...they are different then the original but MUCH better than the last version. Taste is solid...a bit of an after taste but nothing too bad. Macros still crazy good. I was concerned about the sugar alcohols as the ones I eat had none (apple pie) or 1 (cookie dough). Now they both have 2 I think. I've had 1…
  • Great job being consistent!
  • I had to look a long time for one. My basement ceilings are lowish compared to squat racks so I had to get a smaller one. Found it on Amazon after looking for YEARS. I did have a squat stand that I used for a long time which was good but no safety's.
  • I have a squat rack at home! Yay!!! I follow Wendler's 5/3/1
  • Yes it is!
  • Quest changed their formula which then changed the flavor so I don't eat those anymore....I currently am enjoying B up bars which have similar macros to the quest (GNC).
  • yes. My fluctuations are less but I'd like the scale to go down now. LOL
  • So still here. Update 4isn't as neat as the last ones since holidays, I took a break from actually logging every little thing. Weight was 196 yesterday. I was looking at last January and saw I was 176 so that's a little sad. I feel like I've gone backwards but....I am due for TOM next week so I won't let that feeling over…
  • I usually have a bag of Quest Chips with my lunch and one other protein bar (B UP is my current source). Then the usual, egg whites breakfast, chicken lunch and other meat dinner. And greek yogurt.

  • It does have a strap. And I didn't wear it all day. Just while exercising. They are all so similar in their numbers that it's really a personal preference. I think when I started focusing on non exercise energy expenditure it helped overall. Just being more active. But it's really up to you what you're looking for and why…
  • I have the Polar FT4. I used it for about a year during workouts and found that the online calculators and my fitbit/bodymedia were darn close. So I stopped wearing it. I did like it. Easy to use and will keep you motivated to get the burn you want if you are not there yet.
  • I was trying to cut but seem to be maintaining at too high a weight...but lifting is going great and my body is changing so there's that. I don't care today though...but I'm bipolar about my weight so.....today's a good day. LOL
  • Congratulations! Your hard work paid off!!!

  • Your body doesn't really do the whole 24 hour thing. That's there for out convenience. Yesterday's gone. Today eat regular and enjoy Thursday!
  • Well it's been 4 lbs since September so it's only .36 lbs a week LOL But again, I went out last night so could have been more. No stress here.
  • Oh and I will note that I went out to dinner last night and had a lot of popcorn at the movies (with butter, yes) and still no big jump. So I may have lost more who knows.
