I'm tearing myself away from this game to go do a bike ride. I almost talked myself out of going for a ride because it was cold. I will not be a fatty again!

I just woke up at 10 am on Friday after staying up until 3:30am playing it right from midnight. I had to pry myself away at 3:30 because I'm doing a long bike ride this morning.

Viva Pinata. It's awesome, I swear!

This was actually one of the first MMOs I played (after SW:G). It fell by the wayside when I got into WoW. I'll have to download and try again. Geez, between this and DC Universe becoming free to play, I'm in trouble.

Ha, this is what I do, except as a medic. One time I took third on the score list for the team with one kill.
-
I played for a few months but I got tired of the grind of MMOs. It was too much like WoW to keep playing.

I usually go PC but I picked up Battlefield on XBox. The whole Origin thing was shady.

stupid double post.

I blame WoW for all of those full sized Dominoes pizzas that I ate.

We should come up with a fitness related game tied to Skyrim. Every time a little boy comes up and begs you for a coin in a town, you have to do 10 push ups.

I did it for about 3 months this summer. It's a great workout and you definitely get used to the heat, humidity and all of the sweating. For me, it's like this: Advantages: 1) No warmup routine necessary. It's 90 minutes of pure workout. 2) You get extra stretch because your muscles are so warm 3) You definitely gain some…

I occasionally go for Taco Bell, Fresco style. You can get a couple of chicken tacos with no cheese for 180 calories each.

Eat more calorie dense foods. Things like nuts are pretty high calorie for the quantity and you can easily get yourself into a healthy range without stuffing your face.

Ha, that's basically my whole apartment. Small bedroom on the other side of the right wall. That's really it.

This might work! I didn't know that there was a race without the running. I've never really been a swimmer so it might be a good winter training challenge for me.

crank up the resistance and stand up to do a hill climb for 1-2 minutes. Give your butt a break and work the legs harder! :)

I had a 3 week period where I didn't lose anything. I found that I wasn't eating enough. I upped my calorie goal by about 200 and dropped 5 pounds in the first week.
-
I was doing about 1280 for a few weeks. I didn't feel deprived but my body apparently did. I hit a plateau for 3 weeks. When I upped my calories to about 1500, I started losing again and I was much happier to be able to eat a greater variety of food and stay within my goal number.

I've been doing P90X, but I attribute a majority of my loss to a drastic change in diet. It really is 80% diet, 20% exercise. i've kept my calorie intake between 1250 and 1450 5-6 days a week. I give myself Saturdays to go up to maintenance. It's been a great experience so far!
-
It's definitely tough at the beginning, but stick with it. After 3-4 weeks, you start hitting your stride. Send me a friend request if you want some support!

I can vouch for upping your calories some. I was stuck at 165 for about 3 weeks. I upped my calories from 1280 to about 1480 and had almost 5 pounds drop off the week after.

I did P90X religiously for the first 2 months. I've been really into cycling in the last month. Just completed a 45 mile bike ride.

I'm doing exactly the same. I've been in a plateau for about 3 weeks. I've lost some weight so my old number was all the way down to 1280. i boosted it up to 1450 or so and I've definitely felt better. We'll see in a week or so whether it leads to more loss.

Weight and fat are different things. You could lose fat but gain more muscle and end up with a higher weight, even on a 1200 calorie diet.
-
I'd plan ahead. You typically burn between 200 and 700 calories depending on the length and intensity of your workout. Aim to hit or go over before you work out, then your workout will bring you back even.
-
Your body needs 1860 calories to maintain itself. If you workout, it needs 500 calories MORE, so 2360 calories. You're trying to run a deficit on 2360 and if you cut it by 1000 to burn 2lbs a week, you should be eating no less than 1360 calories a day AFTER your workout is entered. On days that you don't workout, I'd aim…
-
I looked at my report for the last 80 days and I realized that I plateau about every 5lbs lost. I'm gradually upping my calories to get towards maintenance. I was around 1280 for a while and I'm up to 1450. I saw a 2lb loss the next week. Give it a try.

160 got me out of the "overweight" category for the BMI scale. When I started approaching that, I started researching what my "ideal" weight should be and it came out to between 140 and 155 depending on my build, so I chose 150 as my new target.
