  • I have the FLEX. Problem, 1. bracelet hard to attach 2. Does it really track exercise. When I compute I get more calories than it burns. Is it accurate 3. Battery goes out in 2 days if that. Love it but hate it as well. It just keeps me motivated but I am not sure how accurate it is. Help
  • Looking for more friends especially those who hit a SET POINT and cannot go down. Happy to have lost weight but then it is a SLOW GO and I am not within 10 pounds. I need 20-30 more.
  • Trying really hard. I have to stay away from dessert. And I am losing slowly... so slowly that I have given up so many times.
  • Same pattern as you. Hard to make a difference and being so short as I am it really shows. I do need exercise which I hate. I dance almost every evening but by day I really don't get lots of exercise activity.
  • My feeling exactly. I cannot seem to go below set point. However I have more to lose than you and I am much older. I just don't want to use those facts as an excuse. I need help because I cannot figure it out.
  • My problem is ME. I get bored and look for someone to talk to while they are exercising. I even have equipment at home (hubby is exercise guru of sorts). But I just hate it. I would rather mow the grass and or do outside and inside work. As for the other people around me..... You can't scare me! I taught middle…
  • I too am GRANDMA. I would like some help and in turn give some support. I have hit a set point. I just cannot seem to go down from that... why I quit last time around. My metabolism is slow and I need help trying to get it going. I am active, try to watch my diet but it is sooo hard. One pound down, one pound up. It keep…
  • I have two scales and they are not in sync. I am not sure which one to believe. Of course the one that reports more weight loss I am all for ;-) However my advice to you is to get a new scale.
  • My grandmother thought so. She used to chase me around trying to feed me. She thought it was a sign of achievement, importance, who knows. Anyway I was a small little gal for the longest time. And then I guess it didn't end up that way. I have 30 pounds to lose and I hit a set point and it is all over.
  • Funny you should post this. I can lose nothing and people approach me and tell me how much weight I must have lost. I guess in my case it is the clothes I wear. (I am a retired teacher). When I taught I had to walk up and down stairs all day long and it really helped hold my weight down. Now retired I dance every evening…
  • I just found this post. I have a set point and it has been the point of defeat for me. I reach it and it seems to be all over. I am coming back and this time around I AM GOING TO BEAT IT. I hope someone here will have some ideas that will help me, encourage me about it. I have heard it all for a reason... including age. I…
  • I have the same question. My phone tracks also, but it has to be placed correctly in a pocket and it is a SMARTPHONE that has a large screen. I guess what is good for one thing is not necessarily good for another. Love to have a good tracker that works easily and I don't have to worry about WHERE to wear it.
  • I am looking for friends that will encourage me to keep going THIS TIME AROUND. The ole sweet tooth gets me all the time. I am not much for exercise unless it is housework, mowing, raking and of course DANCING. Otherwise treadmills and equipment bore me.
  • My motivation is WHAT I USED TO LOOK LIKE. Probably IN MY DREAMS but it is worth going for.
  • I see people who have had it done... on tv of course. And I just cannot believe they do what they do. For myself, a little bit here and there would be nice but I am all for the natural look. I am afraid once I would get started I would not know when to stop.
  • I hit a snag after losing 14 pounds. The weight loss stopped. Perhaps it is my age but I suspected my metabolism was the culprit. So I had that checked and it was lower than 1100. I then had a physical with all the blood work and found that I also had low thyroid. Under doctors care.... I wish I could underline that I am…
  • I am a retired teacher who started out doing something I dearly loved and was allowed to teach in a creative way based on the needs of the students in MY class. I could reach them because I started where THEY were and tried to bring them "up and beyond." At the end of my career I ended up in a straight jacket teaching TO…
  • Another Maryland person checking in. Frederick to be exact. Good luck to all. I am open to befriend anyone who is interested.
  • I too share you opinion. I am so tired of double standards. Women have to BE a certain way, usually on the skinny side. And men seem to have more leeway as to size and facial appearance as regard to being distinquished with lines and wrinkles. No gal on tv would be acceptable without "facial" correction... multi-billion…
  • I am just getting back into this. Found that my metabolism was slow. I am going to get medical help. I am 5 feet and approx 150 -155 pounds. I cannot get below the set point of 150 and I am active. I am looking for new friends to add to my great old ones.
  • In my case and I can only speak for me, I have to be very careful with carbs. Once I start, I am an addict. So I try to select the carbs that are deemed most healthy. I will eat wheat bread instead of white, as an example. I stay away from cookies and cakes as another example. I have no science behind my decision other…
  • Having scale trouble as well. Everytime I jump on they say something else and that is with a brand new scale that is supposed to be accurate. And I have decided as you have just to eat as healthy as I can and not pay much attention to much else. Even the calorie count seems flawed. When I go under the 1200 I actually lose…
  • Thanks, you guys keep me going. I dance 3-4 times a week. I have a tea drink that has no calories (Swiss Blueberry and Pomegrante). Perhaps I should just drink ice cold water with ice in it instead. I do not eat meat. I am not a fat eater. I do like my carbs but I am not doing anything 'diet illegal' with them. Perhaps it…
  • You are not alone. Anytime I give in and have something sweet it sets me up for wanting more. And that goes for foods sweetened by artificial sweeteners. I am a carb addict and when I stay away I am much better off. My dangerous time is after dinner and before bedtime.
  • I was told to use a deck of cards or my fist. My problem has never been overeating anything in a meal. I get full really fast. My problem is the desserts. Never could figure out how I could be so full and still polish off the dreaded desserts one by one.
  • I guess it is my background, my age or both but I read everything carefully and then make adjustments. So many products I just leave on the shelves because even in small quanities they set up my cravings and cause me to want more and more. A half a cup of frozen yogurt is about 150 calories, but once I get started the…
  • So far when I have asked for it, the restaurant has produced it. And I carry my phone and go searching for info just before I enter the door. Members have been so wonderful since lots of food choices have been logged in.
  • They assigned me 1200 calories. No idea why. Tried to change it so I will live with it. I am looking for the right combination of foods. I am a carb addict. My best diets have been to eliiminate most carbs. However that is hard to keep up. I eat balanced meals, am not hungry. I am looking for foods that might change or…
  • I cannot exercise-exercise. I have to do something. I do housework, yardwork, go dancing, anything but exercise. It bores me and I know it will not last it I hate it. So I simply find something to do that takes energy. So far I am not without projects, things to do.
  • I sure do. I am not an "exercise person." I believe in activities. Activities like house cleaning accomplishes a task. I am not a fan of running around and getting nowhere fast. So I find things to do that I enjoy. I have to find something that works for ME if I am to make this weight loss work and remain part of my…
