Why isn't my scale working?

I have a health-o-meter scale. Recently, it only weighs me once a day, it won't work any other time after that. Today, it's not even working. I tried changing the battery to a lithium 3 volt, but it still doesn't work. Why isn't it working an what can I do?

How many times per day are you trying to weigh yourself? And for curiosity's sake, why?

Around three times. Once in morning, when I get home, and before I go to bed. I weighed in yesterday at 110, but I made a post about my measurements (30-26-34) and someone who weighed 140 said they had the same. I want to used my 5-lb weights to see if it's accurate.

You understand that that's somewhat unhealthy and also not informative. Weight loss or gain is about long-term trends. Daily/hourly fluctuations don't mean anything.

I have two scales and they are not in sync. I am not sure which one to believe. Of course the one that reports more weight loss I am all for ;-) However my advice to you is to get a new scale.

    Buy a new scale.

Your weight will fluctuate a LOT during the day, so there's no point in weighing yourself that much. Weigh yourself once a day at most, in the morning, after you go to the bathroom and before you shower or eat.

I got it to work! I guess I didn't put the battery in right.
I weigh myself a lot, but I've been trying to do it less often. Recently, it's just been in the morning. I know weight fluctuates a lot during the day, or even on a day to day basis (I avoid weighing myself after eating a lot of sodium, because I know that could make me retain water and make the weight go up). I take all measurements aside from my weigh in on Saturday with a grain of salt.
    Thank you for helping though!
