Thank you everyone for the welcome! I ended up with an unexpectedly busy week so this is my first time back to the forums since I posted. I had a decent week with my diet, but I have not been moving and I need to change that. I think I only got more than 5k steps once this week. I usually get 10k per day. I'm in northern…

Hello all! I see that you've been going for quite a few months now, but if you'll allow one more I'll share my story. I have felt like a bit of an outcast since I've returned to MFP- having done it long enough to not need the newbie advice, but feeling like enough a failure to not be one of the experienced folks doling out…

Strawberries are not yet in season here so I've been paying a small fortune to keep in constant supply, but I love them! I eat them either with chocolate hummus or coconut whipped cream. Both if I have the calories to spare 😄

I had a little bump in weight the day after Pfizer shot 2, but it was gone by the day after that. I have been doing time restricted eating and typically don't eat a morning meal, but I adjusted my window so that I had something in my stomach before going to my late morning appointment. I don't know if that was necessary,…

Oh sweet potatoes are another go to for me that are satisfying, and I can eat at just about any time of day. Poke with fork and oven roast several at a time. Plus they often hit my sweet craving so I'm not craving a treat after a meal.

I empathize as a busy working mom (who can be pretty lazy in the kitchen). My favorite easy foods that are filling tend to lean toward protein. I eat scrambled eggs for a meal probably every other day. I hard boil a big batch for quick snacks or to add to bagged salad. I love (vermont smoke and cure) meat sticks and lean…

I buy Tribe. A serving is 60 calories for 33 g. A double serving at 66 g is actually really satisfying and filling for only 120 calories, especially if you put it on fruit rather than eat by the spoonful. It tastes like brownie batter. Give it a go!

Chicken and salsa in a crockpot or instapot. Sometimes I add taco seasoning or a little cream cheese. Shred. I also do shrimp, green beans and watered down stir fry sauce (I find it too salty) on the stovetop pretty often.

I have had strawberries with dark chocolate hummus every night for the past 3 weeks. Sometimes I add in some coconut milk whipped cream.

Thank you everyone. I apologize if I poorly referenced experts. I mostly just want to read more about it, individual experiences, studies, things to consider, possible benefits, but everything I find is either condescending (you've all been doing it wrong), narcissistic (I'm right and IF is the only thing that works for…

To answer your original question, yes, me. I have only a vague range and I'm perfectly content with that. I previously lost 70 lbs and my happy maintenance weight, where I think I felt and looked damn good, was a higher number than I had originally thought I'd aim for. My health indicators were great as well. Getting back…

Turkey meatloaf. 1.5 lb ground turkey, 1/2 cup chopped spinach, 1/2 bell pepper, 1/2 onion, 1/2 cup oats, 1 egg, red pepper flakes. Cook for an hour. Done.

Hi all. I just turned 40 this month and I'm doing everything I can to embrace it. I'm not in the healthiest body I've ever had, but I'm making good sustained progress and hope to spend my 40s much healthier than most of my 30s. Glad to find this group!

I prefer the boys in pinstripes.

Yum. Sour beer

This is my favorite IP recipe. I make it at least once per week. Sometimes I use chicken breast instead of pork if its cheaper. I've experimented and if you're short on time, don't worry about searing everything. It still comes out fantastic! I also add bell peppers sliced really big- they fall apart in a pressure cooker…

Happy New Years friends! The holiday break was not a healthy one for me, but I did make some good memories and I am right back to accountability. One month until my 40th birthday. I won't hit the weight goal I had set, but I'll be happy if I feel I've made good progress and am on a good steady track.

I did three years ago. It was a painful recovery for sure, but I don't regret it at all. No complications, good results, and I'm heading towards 40 perkier than all my friends, lol.

"Cheap" is a funny and relative term in the beer world. My state has the most craft breweries per capita. A six pack of a decent Magic Hat for $8 is looked down at, as a 4 pack of the double hoppy stuff sells for $16. But if I bring that same $8 six-pack to my home state, my family things I've grown to be a beer snob! They…

Traditional Mediterranean foods- I can't make it so pick it up at events and farmer's markets. I couldn't even guess the calorie content and its the one time I just don't care. Give me all of the spanikopita and moussaka please.

Happy Friday friends! Is anyone else sitting in an office full of cookies, chocolates and other treats? I love the holidays, and I've avoided the temptations successfully, but I'm ready to not have so many around.

Happy Wednesday everybody. I started a new wellness program last week that I'm pretty excited about. It looks at everything from diet, nutrition, stress, exercise, body composition. Part of the program includes one week of a nutrition reboot- only fruits, veggies, and lean proteins. As a calorie counter who has…

Happy Monday everyone! Feeling my age and (so out of) shape today, but I love it! Two hours of field hockey. Sore everywhere with multiple bruises, but the workout really sets my mindset for the week.

I've only made the biscuits (they're pretty good actually) but Carbquick has a recipe for bread as well.

Lots of options.* Roll up sliced ham, turkey or even roast beef and different kinds of cheese. * VT smoke and Cure beef stick with a boiled egg and cottage cheese on the side * Canned tuna with mayo in a fiber one sandwich thin (10 carbs I think but if its all you have all day its good) * I like these Amy Lu aged cheddar…

Happy Friday everyone! Been a while since I checked into this thread. My kids have this habit of asking Alexa every day how many days until (Halloween, Christmas, their birthdays, etc). For a week now, its been my birthday. Alexa has informed me that I only have 85 days left in my 30s. Going to make them as fun as…
