I agree with the last sentence. I once read weightloss is 75% what we eat and 25% exercise. Then a couple years later it was 80% what we eat and 20% exercise. However- the running part?? I don't know. If you are more than 20 pounds over weight you can hurt your knees, hips and feet (plantar faccitis) if you run. No matter…

Well thanks everyone for your input. Yes, the only reason I tried them is because Dr OZ recommended them but he probbaly gets some cash to say something positive. As I said- I think the raspberry ketones are making me retain water therefore I stopped taking them. The pamphlet that came with it gave an 800 calorie a day…

I was always pressured to have kids by everyone but my mother. Thankfully she respects my choice- My other half already had his one child (who is an adult now) so it's like not having any! LOL! I love my childless life  But respect those who love and want them. Too bad the understanding doesn't go both ways :ohwell:
-
Why does every one think kids make a home complete? For me and my hubby its our always over adored kitty and she deserves all the love we give her
-
44 and no kids! Happy about it too

In case anyone was wondering about Jackie Warner workouts- Jackie workouts are combo moves where you work your upper and lower body at the same time. Lunges with bicep curls, squats with triceps, planks, and push-ups so your heart gets pumping. Just wasn't sure what to log it under. :ohwell:

I agree! I'd have to workout way longer and more often if I really wanted to exercise for significant weightloss. I'd rather exercise to *stay moving* and eat less and sensibly to lose weight- but thats just me..... I exercise about 30 mins a day 5 days a week and thats enough for me!

I saw a show where the machines were tested against HMR's and you are right. They read about 25-30% higher than HMR's. So basically if you subtract about 25-30% from what the elliptical says you burned you'll have a more accurate reading. Too bad since I generally like the number the machine gives over the actual, LOL!

My kitty is a Sophie as well!

My cat greets me/us with a purr and a roll on the floor every day when we get home =)

Cat for sure. I like dogs as much as kids, like when they belong to other people! LOL- I don't like to be *needed* and a dog needs you to feed it, walk it, pay lots of attention to it, etc. When a cat comes to you its because it *wants* to. =)

I suspect you can't *stop* it. You'll have to call animal control and have them trap it and relocate it. HOPEFULLY they will use a *have a heart* trap and not harm or kill it- just relocate it humanly. Good Luck! :flowerforyou:

WHO ARE you people netting 500-800 cals a day! :noway: Thats just crazy! are you using MFP calorie burn counts or HRM's? Just curious-

I have the same problem. I decided to do Plank pose instead of push-ups though. I guess it depends on how serious you are about the push-ups. I would try iceing them after and even try icy/hot rub on them.....but basically it doesn't really go away. At least that is my experience. :ohwell:

Gentle (advancing to moderate) Yoga and Pilates would be best and healing for you......My neighbor lost 35 pounds doing just that with cutting calories in her diet. She looks amazing.

Get both! they are cheap enough and good to switch between each other =)

YES! I have been out with a guy like this once or twice. He's a *kitten*!!! STAY away from him! it is his intention to USE you. Honestly, you will most likely NOT hear from him again afterwards if you give him what he wants. Also- he sounds aggressive- best to NEVER be alone with him. I hope you turn and run......I really…

It can take a year to heal. I have it too. Because i started jogging again, it flared up on me recently. Ice and find yourself a PF *sock* to wear to bed at night. A lot of running shoe specialty stores will carry them. Or you could look it up online. Its a sock that has a strap connected to the toe then connected to the…

Oh you poor thing. I hear you. But listen to your hubby =) I'm QUITE SURE he's right and you look fabulous. I've ALWAYS had a bad self image myself. I always see the fat girl in the mirror no matter what I weigh. Some times its a low grumble and I can live with it, other times its a roaring beast and I get really down. I…

Sounds like you exercise A LOT. I don't have the time to exercise almost as often as I eat.....LOL. Hey, it sounds like its working for you and so glad to see a fellow Veggie!

Try filling up on fruit or some fiber before she gets there......that way when you have the sundae you'll eat less of it. You can also buy sugar free ice cream or non fat frozen yogurt for yourself to save some calories =) You might want to check out the grocery store and see if there is a lower fat or lower sugar version…

Goodness! who would eat THAT anyway?? LOL

Yes sadly this happens a lot. My husband is also a good guy but he doesn't help much in the diet dept either. He often suggests going out to my fave resturants knowing it will be hard for me to stick to my diet. Also a couple nights after he gets out of work he'll suggest going out for ice cream. When he sees me eating…
