Successful (planned) 'fat days'...

I am the queen of take away food.....I love my food and I love Pizza, Chinese and Indian food. So instead of battling the guilt and the post-binge blues, I decided on a plan, that has worked so far...its 2.15pm.

Im a veggie, but its the general idea not so much the lack of meat.

Breakfast 200 ish calories

55 minutes walking (the dog)...

Lunch at 11 am, a half portion of Ainsley Harriot Bulgur wheat thingy (95 cals) with masses of salad.

Bit more exercise - 20 mins on ex bike.

Snack 2pm, rest of AH Bulgar wheat thingy, with salad

4pm 45-60 mins walking

Then either ex bike or treadmill to make cal allowance back up to 1,500 if it's below.

Then PIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.....with no guilt...

Do the masses approve? My aim is to eat often during the day, but planned low cal stuff, then make sure your exercise is also planned, so it allows for it at the end of the day.....then have left what you plan your binge will be and eat guilt free...

Good luck MFPers.

Sarah

Sounds like a decent way to get in your favorite foods without feeling any guilt about going over calories. If this is a sometimes thing, it sounds awesome - everyday, and you might be losing out on some nutrients.
  • If you can fit pizza into your caloric budget for the day, go for it. No need to deprive yourself of any one food because you feel it will hinder your weight loss. Weight loss comes down to energy balance. Calories in vs. calories out. If you maintain a deficit and burn more than you take in, you will lose weight. Get most of your foods from whole food sources since they are rich in vitamins and nutrients, but don't feel like you have to deprive yourself of foods you love. Good luck!

Sounds like you exercise A LOT. I don't have the time to exercise almost as often as I eat.....LOL. Hey, it sounds like its working for you and so glad to see a fellow Veggie!
  • Something else to think about.

    Things people may consider "healthy".

    Vegetables
    Meats
    Cheese

Throw it all together and bake it, call it "pizza", and now suddenly it's "unhealthy". It may be calorically dense for its size, but if you count the calories and add them to your daily intake, what's the problem?

Sounds like you have figured out a way to "beat" the system... Not sure if filling your body with horrible food is the way to go. I am curious to see if it works.

I'd still feel guilty because I know all the good foods I could have so much more of, for the same calories as that pizza. Plus junk food makes me feel gross afterwards.
But if pizza is something you want & can allocate extra calories for so you don't go off track, then why not?
  • I'm on my treadmill answering you guys..... This is just a 2 weekly thing by the way...and if u check my diary my food is healthy as hell otherwise. Almost at maintenance, so looking good.
  • OK so the morning after. Calorie control went to plan, I even saved some for today, but decided to eat it for supper. This morning I woke up with a carb hang over, dry mouth, thirsty, full belly, (needing an epic #2 lol).....BUT I didnt put a lb on......RESULT....
