I'll occasionally have it with pineapple, but my favorite combo is cottage cheese with peaches.

@sammyneb, I will be running an 8k Turkey Trot in November; do you have any suggestions on how to improve time with longer distances?

Too pretty to work? I'd MAYBE believe her if she lived a modest lifestyle and kept to herself.... maybe. But the lavish lifestyle, designer shoes & handbags? He's agreed to run in the race. Hopefully he plans on bringing plenty of ice for his injuries post race... If he finishes.

I'll normally have a piece of toast with peanut butter before my run if my stomach is growling. If not, I'll have the toast with peanut butter with 2 eggs after my run and some chocolate milk. I try to stay away from coffee.

Age does make a difference. I'm not sure of the level of activity in your workouts, but the more active you are & the more exercise you do, the more calories you need to consume, otherwise you risk starving yourself and putting your body into survival mode. I would say shoot for at least 1800-2000 calories per day.

The hard ground is harder on your joints. Grass is better, but still takes a toll. A treadmill/elliptical will be less resistance. Try bending your knees when you run outside. It's not what your body naturally wants to do, but once I got the hang of it, I stopped hating running outside!
