Hi! Yes, I need to lose 40 pounds and setting a date is a great idea. I’m at 175 now, but for most of my life I was 135. Let’s do this every one!👍

Hi I just wanted to say that no matter where you’re from, this is a good place to be! I was born in Atlanta and have lived many places in the US. While I was growing up, my dad was in the Navy. So we also lived in the (now erased) Panama Canal Zone in the mid-1960s. I have also lived in China, France, and Honduras.

I think it's similar to the Atkins...

West Seattle!

I didn't know that was the challenge, but I did it! I ate red beans and rice for lunch!

You should be proud!!!!

Agreed, RoadDog, but she did have to make a living and that's what people wanted her to do. Every time I saw her I changed the channel. :ohwell:

OK, the depression is setting in today...My YMCA has been closed since Aug. 22. I was able to swim at our downtown location twice, but I had my heart set on swimming today. Nope, they don't open until tomorrow. And I cannot swim before Friday. Ugh:cry:

I have oatmeal a lot, grits sometimes, toast sometimes, occasionally eggs and bacon (just one piece).

Not yet but I will at 1pm. This morning I lifted grocery bags full of food helping the local food bank to distribute to folks in my senior building. Swimming has certainly improved my cardio fitness. :blushing:  :blushing:

Yes, we had a different instructor for deep-water aerobics this morning. She had us do ten HIITs (high-intensity intervals) and by the time we got to the tenth, I was feeling it. She's an occupational therapist by trade, and I really like her style. I'm going to find out more about HIIT. Have a great day in the water!…

I agree with you! My mom used Sweet N Low (which HAS been proved to cause cancer), but she lived to 89!

YES! I did deep-water aerobics (mostly intervals) for an hour. Love it!!!

I did not swim today, after five consecutive days of it. Plan to go back tomorrow, though.

I would recommend seeing the Shanghai Art Museum, which should be open. Also, have you been to the Peace Hotel and the Bund? I think you will find a whole lot of sights to see if you're willing to get out there! A hint: ask someone to translate and write down the Chinese words for the following (this list is courtesy of…

Yeah, again, that's three days in a row... Leslie pushed us today too. But I will be there tomorrow!
-
Yep, I went to water aerobics this morning and worked out for an hour. It was a tough one because Leslie (instructor) was doing some different things. We always do intervals. Today we also did a lot of arm work. :drinker: <--NOT that kind!

Count me in! I will do at least 180 minutes a week! MON: 60 min :flowerforyou: TUES: WED: THU; FRI: SAT: SUN:

Hi Holly and Snip! Thanks for responding. Have a great day!

 I went to aqua-jog this morning for 45 minutes. This was a different instructor and she worked it hard. I like her because she laughs almost constantly and it's contagious! If I can remain uninjured, I am going to try doing water aerobics four days a week and light swimming on Sundays. Keeping my fingers crossed!
-
Yes, I swam today. In fact, I heard about MFP from another swimmer and this is my first day. I do water aerobics :flowerforyou: three times a week and swim on Sundays. I am pretty water-logged but very happy! I really look forward to getting support from others and giving support where possible.
