Fantastic! Great job! And at the rate you've been going I'd say you have at least another 100 miles left in you by year's end!

1100. Today was my "easy" day, but I shaved 15 seconds off my time just by changing up one technique. I was reading Swimming to Antarctica by Lynne Cox and she mentioned that she'd been advised to accelerate on the pull.
Of course, thinking about it, that should be obvious. I gotta find a coach...0 -
Great job, NoelFigart1!!!
All freestyle today - 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 1500, 1000, 500, 250......0 -

1300 41:24. This was mostly because I was working on a technique to keep my body more balanced and my head further down. I breathed wrong and got a lungful of water. Took a minute to cough that out. Embarrassing.0

first time back in the water (except for snorting around) since the end of my college swimming career! (25 years ago this upcoming February)
today was day one training for the 2016 Transplant Games in Cleveland! woo hoo.
of note: calves and feet cramps. just like the old days. when practice started up again
had a "flashback" and expected shoulder pain, but none.
not wearing 8 speedos, also wearing the new-style trunks - fun. fashion change!
was consistent about 1:30/100 until the 200, then did 1:20/100.
next is tomorrow am...

Welcome back fishgutzy, it's been awhile!
Wronkletoad you have restarted with a bang as if that 25 year hiatus never happened! Good job! Keep listening to your body and be careful to let it (especially the shoulders) build and adapt to the new regime! Otherwise injury will follow!
