love just about everything fried... how about PORK CRACKLIN'S FRIED PICKLES FRIED TURKEY and my personal favorite FRIED PIES The human body is designed to naturally tend toward calorie rich food, which is why most of us like sweets. It's an evolutionary left over response to periods of great feast and famine. The problem…

I was always taught that if you have to keep your relationship secret you probably shouldn't be in it. Some people may really be happy in open marriages, but I would venture to say that there are more hurt feelings and bruised egos in that scenario than in a monogamous marriage (which I am currently thoroughly enjoying).…

It is OK to eat those things! What matters is moderation and common sense. I cook with real butter, real bacon grease, and raw cane sugar. Still lost almost 30 pounds. You have to consider the amount of what you eat in conjuction with the amount of exercise you do. Also, I recommend every single one of Michael Pollan's…

Don't worry about weighing in this week at all. Try to eat and exercise normally for the next seven days and then weigh in again on your regular day. you don't want a day of feasting to get your weight up and your motivation down.

Feed them normally and then go for a run!

You could make it a rule to always have sleepovers at your home, where you have parental supervision and no smoking.

Great choice!

Forget low calorie, low carb, and low-brains diets. What matters is that you eat real food and do real exercise. It's about making sure that you have a sustainable life style change- not a gimicky diet.

I've been wonder woman for a long time. I don't look like Emily Deschanel, but it works. :)

If that logic works, you might as well break the snickers and shake out the calories!

Cream and sugar has a lot of calories- bit I find ways to make up for it during the day. If you listen to the "experts" it sounds to me like a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, and a piece of dark chocolate everyday will make you immortal!

I have often wondered the same thing... It's been a long time since biochemistry, but I think it has something to do with each individual fat (or glycogen) molecule being broken down. The products of breakdown of these molecules are energy, water, and waste. So- waste goes out in different ways, through the kidneys, colon,…

Also, can you count tea (hot or iced) as water?

Congratulations and stick with it!

Grey is the way to go. It let's women know you are mature- not so shallow that you have to pretend to be younger than you are. (I dye my hair, so I guess I shouldn't say that...)

That's so true! Try drinking at least two quarts a day. Dr. Don Colbert (physician and author) recommends at least that much.

That's a smart man. You should listen.

It's been a few years since we've been there, but I remember my husband scrambling to finish all of his work, too. (He just has a Masters, though). You'll do great. Just hunker down and get it done!

Even now that I'm skinny I have fat ankles. It's a genetic thing- something about muscle and tendon attachment.

I think that's one of the reason's this site is so successful. We get to reward ourselves with the thing we love best- more food! YAY!

Its great to have that accountability. I joined because my mom did, and then my husband joined because I was on. Together we have all lost the equivalent of 1 supermodel!
-
I may have to try that, but I'm afraid my craving for Arby's might last for days on end!

Ok, I'll say it. I like muscles. LOTS of muscles! A man with broad shoulders and a barrel chest and some ab definition turns me on. There. I admit it. Good calves are also a plus.
