I'm gonna be honest, doing both at the same time is pretty difficult but ultimately extremely healthy, so I'm proud of you for making this decision! I agree with the above poster of having candies, but I prefer having a mint or a cinnamon candy. I always find that if I have chocolate I try to eat all of them but if I have…

Mac and Cheese that's crispy on top. So darn good!

Quest Cookies & Cream are the best! And the only Quest bars I can stomach (I love that they've got no sugar but their chalky taste is such a turnoff). And I really like Balance & Cliff bars if I plan on doing a lot of endurance activity that day, but they're essentially candy bars.

I imagine Maine & Boston would have great places to eat! I mean isn't Maine known for its lobsters? I'd suggest Yelping some new restaurants around the area that are walking distance so you can enjoy. But yeah, my parents used to always take me to continental breakfasts at Motel 8 etc when I was a kid so I feel your pain.…

Well you can start out with this website: http://www.skinnytaste.com/ it has calorie counts and she doesn't ask for outlandish ingredients that you only find at the top of the Himalayas or something, and you can reuse them. Plus you can start from the "easier" stuff if you don't feel confident. Or, if you feel completely…

What I do is I buy a bag of hard cinnamon candies (or some other variant: root beer candies/jolly ranchers) and I limit myself to one of them a day. So it's ~20-25 calories and I get rid of my sweets craving. Plus it might just be me, but if I eat more than 1 hard candy (especially jolly ranchers) my mouth gets all sour…

I've never tried it but I do see people trying it all the time on social media websites... I'm pretty sure they're being paid to do it (or it's free for them). I've heard it's good for bloating but not much else

There's advantages and disadvantages to both, if the diaries are open then people can share recipes easily and can maybe feel encouraged to eat more greens/fruits by looking at other peoples' diaries. I personally started freaking out about whether I would be judged for going over one day and wouldn't put in some foods,…

@crepes_: adding you as I type @hannydeee: I definitely love the community aspect, not to sound shallow but I do love me "likes" so I feel more motivated to eat fruits/healthy since there are more likes (I sound extremely shallow but I don't care I'm eating healthier haha) Also for anyone still on the fence, there's a…

to be honest, I've found out that the gut reaction of people when I tell them that I'm counting calories is "Oh no only anorexic people do that!" :| Brush off her comments, you're definitely fine, a 100 cal difference isn't going to hurt you, and who knows maybe you'll eat 100 cal extra sometime that week so it evens out…

I've lived in NorCal my entire life and loved it (but I'm so jealous of SoCal's winters!)

Hey I'm vegetarian too and am pretty active! :) I also know how you feel, when I look at pictures of me 20 pounds ago, it looks like I'm stretching the seams of my pants as far as they can go! I feel a mixture of embarrassment and pride at them now :P

Hey Ayla Lee! I'm 22 and I'm on every day! I'd be happy to support you, after all we all have the same weight loss goal! :)
-
Hey Amanda, feel free to add me! I'm 5'3'' and I'm trying to get to 120! (I'm also a vegetarian! :) )

I don't think there's a way to set a date for when to lose the weight but I you should be able to work backwards. I think if you set it to lose 1.5 pounds a week, you should be able to lose a stone within 9 1/2 weeks (which is about 2 1/2 months) so you'd have extra time till Christmas just in case there were a few extra…

I feel you, it's 11:45 pm and I have no idea why but I'm starving... I usually try drinking a cup full of green tea or eating a small cinnamon red-hot to keep me satisfied till I go to sleep any candy will do, but I'm just less likely to pop 15 cinnamon red hots one after the other vs jolly ranchers or some other candy

What I do is use "groupon.com" in the "things to do" section. I don't actually buy the deals, but it at least helps me see what's in my neighborhood. Last time I used it I found a kick-boxing class, paintball, and a trampoline class (I ended up doing kick-boxing but I regret not checking out the trampoline class).

Hahahaha I've definitely developed a sharper tongue since then. There have actually been days where I wander around that shoe store seeing if she still works there so I can think of a comeback 1 year in the making (but so far, nothing).
-
Hahhaha yup 100% serious! And the worst part is she seemed to be disappointed that I didn't fall on my knees and thank her? I guess she thought she was helping me... It makes for a good story to tell people now but at that moment I was MORTIFIED.

I like to pretend I'm a badass but at that moment all I could think to do was laugh awkwardly while my friends were angry enough on my behalf to berate her and drag me out of there.
-
Ugh trust me I understand, once I was with my 2 (much skinnier) friends at the mall after getting ice cream. The other 2 finished their cups and we went into a shoe store (while I still had my ice cream) and the attendant came up to us and asked if we needed any help. After we all said no, she looked me up and down and…

Oops! Feeling a bit sleep deprived, I meant to say gain!

I'm not entirely sure where all the hate is coming from? I mean everyone has different goals and aspirations. Do I think you're too skinny? No! Do I care that you want to lose weight? Not even a little. I'd only be worried if it were anything that would be harmful to you (eg if it were a girl who was 80 pounds wanting to…

They're... nice on some girls, but they're pretty unforgiving, and I don't really feel like sucking in my stomach for the entire night haha

I'm a 22 y.o 5'3'' F, starting at 160 and trying to get to 120 :) add me if you've got anything similar or if you just want motivation!
