Dr. Oz had a segment about the green coffee extract; when I went to the local health food store, I was surprised how fast it flew off the self. The little bit of research I've done from the web looks promising... however, anytime someone bosts a pill as a cure all, I'm leary. Do your research, look at your own program, and…

Why not do both throughout the week and optimize your results?

I made these and was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. They are more fudgy and moist than regular brownies and down get as fluffy when cooked. I sprinkled chocolate chips on the top of the batter before I baked them to help entice my leary S.O. into trying them. They made it to work in an male dominate…

You'll find that if you saute the spinach with other veggies, omletes, or other cooked dishes that it cooks down. You'd be surprised how much 2 large handfuls cooks down into.... I also use it fresh on sandwiches instead of lettuce, use it as a base to put other foods on instead of rice/pasta. Hope this helps.

Have you tried this as overnight oatmeal versus warm/cooked oatmeal?
-
As much as I was surprised by black bean chocolate pancakes, I imagine that these should be wonderful! You could also do a non-fat cool whip/peanut butter frosting!
-
high cal snacks and foods like peanut butter, homemade meals with higher cal meats like sausage.... just a suggestion.

Having the rest in between am and pm workouts is an important key. If you overtrain, your body will stop loosing and hold weight.
-
And the turkey bacon eggwhite sandwich is a nice low cal breakfast!

As long as your not having pain, it may most likely be soft-tissue responding to the increase in knee use. If you start having pain, definately stop and see your MD. Some people use things like "Move Free" or Glucosamine/Chondroitin for their joints; can't hurt.

Well, I wouldn't quit drinking.... and enjoy the occassional cigar. But from a health standpoint, the only other commercial use for nicotine other than smoking is as a pesticide. So we each have to make our own decision.

I'd think that regardless of what you decide, it needs to be convenient and comfortable for you. I always feel pretty weak when I put little 2.5pound weights on a bar bell for bicep curls, but I also know that in the future that weight will increase slowly. I find that I do better if I have someone to help keep me…

Ultimately, this is a family function and having 1 slice isn't going to kill you or your diet. It may mean extra work-out time or rearranging your diet for the day to allow for these types of calories. Don't be too hard on yourself.

This is quite interesting. I have a jar of Calm (Mag supplement) on my counter; and for some reason I decided to use it this week out of the blue instead of my normal occassional use for constipation. Now I know why!

When I do my version of overnight oatmeal (cold) I put the banana in from the beginning. Yes it gets mushy, but you still have the banana flavor.... so either way would work.

I'm in your boat with double knee issues. At this point even bicycling isn't comfortable. I am trying to do low impact stuff and stop when my body tells me to stop... like swimming.
-
I also have the same issues on my days off. My family isn't a huge help with my diet, even though they try. So when you go out, use your phone or the internet before you leave to look at the nutritional menu items of where you are going before you go. Plan your meal or at least get an idea of what you are going to eat in…

I'm a nightshift psychiatric nurse in a prison in NV. I work at the local hospital psych unit per diem nights and when I'm on my days off, I work as a daytime massage therapist. Crazy hours and crazy busy is my middle name! Any support and suggestions I can get is always always appreciated! Especially from folks with…

Almond milk (I drink the 40cal one) can be a replacement for all milk uses including cooking. Except I've read here that it doesn't do well in baking things that need to rise (cakes and such).

CW - 142.2  Can't get a break with this up and down weight for the last 3 weeks. Can't figure if its sodium, lack of sleep, stress, or too much/not enough exercise. Going on vacation this week. This ought to be fun for the waist line! :embarassed:

Thank you

you can make chicken salad using the yogurt. I use it in place of mayo in sandwiches, you could use it to make sauces for chicken breasts. The best thing about greek yogurt is its versatility in any type meal.

Lifestyle changes are the hardest - especially when it comes to limiting or eliminating things your like; yet see others eat without any problems. Just remember that is what cheat/off days are for - to help with the acceptance and cravings for all the crap! No one said this was easy or a perfect system. Just when you think…

Count me in. I'm starting to develop an interest in this now that I'm starting to see more tone to my arms and legs since I've been loosing weight and weight training.

I've also been having problems getting through week 3 of C25K. I've been told that if you take anytime off from running, just picking back up where you left off is impractical. So if you have to repeat a few earlier weeks in the program, it doesn't reflect on you or your success. The important aspects are that you are up…

I don't remember the last time I slept for more than 5-6 hours; maybe 10 years since I was divorced. And now with 3 jobs (2 are nightshift) plus working out..... and other of life's aspects (boyfriend, family, house chores)... but I shall try to get more sleep time in on my day off this week. CW = 138.0

Keep up the great work!
