I agree! I want to do the Keto with my husband since it'll help keep him on track as well as myself. If I eat carb-ie foods around him it'll be too hard for him to stay with the diet too. Plus it helps burn fat much quicker than not being on a keto diet (I'm trying to get rid of this stubborn belly fat).

That may very well be true. I felt super deprived while on keto, even fruits were "high carb" so those were a treat rather than a normal thing I could incorporate.
-
I ended up doing it again, I couldn't take the rumbling stomach and being hangry. I might try to eat breakfast a bit later and see if that'll help.

For the most part I do pretty well on the protein, I honestly think it's 90% mental and 10% hunger

Wow thanks so much for all the great responses!! To go a bit further with info, so far I've found that I really like these: Bolthouse Farms - Blende Coffee Protein Plus, 11 oz. Yoplait Greek 100 Protein - Apple Pie, 150 gram Which are both really good with protein, I may incorporate this more into my weekly diet. Also…

Thanks so much Vintage, I really appreciate all the workout sources! I know there's tons on Youtube but it can be hard picking which ones to follow; I'll look these up when I get home. Gaucho - If I recall correctly I believe I may have tweaked the standard for macros. I lowered the carbs and upped the protein.

I have two full time jobs and to say finding time for my general health is hard - is an understatement. I've just got back to MFP maybe a week or 2 so far, but I think the biggest thing is to log what you're eating and don't hate yourself if you go over your calories. Small steps, baaaaby steps. I've started with logging…

My husband has hypertension and he was able to drop his BP drastically by limiting his sodium, increasing his potassium, and drinking LOTS of water. If you're overweight, losing some extra pounds help tons. If you need any help with finding low-sodium products let us know, we're more than willing to help!

Love the progress reports! You're doing great :)

I wish I had the willpower for just ONE day hahahaha.

Yipes! $57 for just breakfast and lunch/week? That's pretty steep. I think if I did this I would have to do some serious planning and penny pinching ^-^;

Thank goodness it's the season for farmer's market haha. I usually go to Joe Randazzo's (JOE not 'regular') which cuts down the cost a lot, but I haven't tried budgeting everything out yet. Thanks for your input!

I'm curious about the running skirt haha.

Here's a nice healthy snack for you and it's easy to make. Whatever I post in parenthesis is either what I used or the measurements on MFP. No Bake Energy Bites: 3/4 Cup (12Tbsp) Peanut Butter (Krema - smooth) 1 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats (Country Barn - old fashioned) 2 tsp Vanilla Extract (Generic) 1/3 Cup Honey 1/3 Cup (5…

Fair enough! I think that sounds right :)

It does thank you so much!

I think in their minds they might be thinking you're going into a starvation diet. I believe MOST of them mean well, but they also tend to not do proper research on nutrition. Sometimes you do get the jealous ones, or the ones that see you losing weight and feel the need to put you down because they're unhappy with…

Mmmm those sound good!

I generally get around 16~20oz worth of juice (sometimes more depending on the size of the veggies) and drink it all as one serving.
-
Also, re-juice your pulp. I've gotten a whole extra cup by re-juicing the pulp :)

It's possible those time's may be high stress points for you. Also if you tend to eat around those times you may be having salty foods (which ups the BP)? Maybe not drinking enough water? It's hard to tell really.

I hear ya there!! Controlling eating habits is incredibly difficult. I do pretty well at work (usually), but when I get home all self-restraint is OUT the window haha. Spinach isn't terrible in sodium, but it is more than I thought it would be, I think celery has a bit in it too, I was really surprised. Oh! And a great…

I wouldn't worry about the actual weight. If you're slimming down then the only thing that's keeping the weight is your muscle mass. :)
-
Whelp that's dissapointing. I always thought I was a medium, guess I'm a large (barely, but still a large regardless).
-
Good luck!

High intensity interval training is definitely the best workout for fat burning, and there are TONS of videos on youtube and whatnot. Also, with the tummy the best thing to do is to actually cut fat (but make sure you still have your healthy fats) down in your diet. The thing is, you already have your ab muscles! But the…

Salmon is always a good option, it's quite lean and packed with protein! (Tofu too!)

I've never done weight watchers so I don't know if they're actually "good" or not. But personally I'd say if you want to feel fuller discard the "point" system and go by not only how much you're eating, but WHAT you're eating. I guess for example say weight watchers says unhealthy snack bar is less points than healthy…

I've only just started with the protein shakes so far, but I did really enjoy 365 Organic Vanilla Whey Protein. It's around 16g protein, and low in sodium (which is something I'm looking for), plus! It tastes pretty darn good :)
