@FitGeekery - so are you using HabitRPG to help with motivation? I just took a look at it, and it seems awesome... but not sure how useful it would be for weight loss/eating healthy?

Chiming in to say hello! Just finally getting motivated again to come back to MFP. I'm currently at 183, and would love to lose 30 lbs, but I'd settle for 20! After having my son two years ago, taking care of myself hasn't been as big of a priority, and I need to change that! As far as geekery... I geek out about so much…

Ok, I won't reorganize the team! I don't know when I'll have time to figure out if it even makes a difference. I don't think it does, b/c I am going off of percentage lost, but who knows (I'm obviously not an accountant! Lol).

******** Please note: due to several drop outs, the teams are currently quite uneven. I am going to reorganize teams so there isn't such a disparity in regards to number of members. We will be taking a break next week from weighing in. I am going to be on vacation with no computer (yay!). THE NEXT WEIGH IN DAY WILL BE…

Ok, I don't want to laugh, but I couldn't help it. This sounds like it should be on a sitcom! I'm sorry :(

Thanks for the motivation!! :)

Good job, Megan! Yesterday I went over my calories by 14! So close! I even went out to dinner and a movie and didn't exercise, so I feel ok w/ coming that close to my calorie goal. Today I exercised, so I'm planning on drinking TONS of water and staying around my normal calorie goal and not using my extra exercise ones. I…

I also love Laffy Taffy! But, if someone gave me some, regardless of my hubby's attachment, I'd have to chuck it or give it away. Being in the house with me would be wayyyy too tempting and I would eat it all in a couple sittings :/

I didn't notice that above, about you not being able to watch the video. I'm not a great summarizer (is that a word?), but basically by drinking lots of soda or alcoholic beverages, it raises your body's pH levels, in turn making your body work harder to get you back to where you need to be. I realize this summary is not…

I'm not saying anything is wrong with it, I'm just simply saying that you can find a study to back either side of this argument. I'm of the opinion that if you replace your soda (diet or not) with water, you will be healthier and feel better. The only "study" I can cite is my own experience. That's all :)
-
What about pH levels? And honestly, I think you can find a study to back any argument. Politicians have been doing it for decades.
-
The linked video addresses pH levels of soda, diet or otherwise. None of your above "facts" (??) are addressing pH imbalances/levels.

I did WW from January 2011 until May 31, 2011. It was slow and steady, and I did not use the online feature (I was already paying to go to meetings, I didn't want them to get even more of my money!). I found that even though I was going to the meetings, I wasn't incredibly motivated. I joined this site when I finally got…

I'm no expert, but perhaps try drinking more water (maybe set a goal of 6 glasses per day at first, see if you can get there) and maybe try cutting back on some of your carbs. Even though you are under your carb goal daily, some days it still seems like a large amount of carbs to me. I wouldn't say to give them up…
-
YES!!!

I'm going to do my best to stay under calories w/out exercise today! I did the water one again yesterday, and the scale moved for me this morning! :D
