It's only too slow if you feel like you COULD go faster and still enjoy running and still want to go out and run again tomorrow. Running is so individual! I used to be hung up on my pace.... Now I celebrate that I am going faster than everyone who is still sitting on their butt at home:) Happy Running!!!!

How old are you? How are you measuring your HR? With a chest strap or wrist device or some other way? It sounds like you are above the "normal" range, but I have heard that HR can vary a lot. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I love my Polar FT4. I think you would be looking at closer to $60 for one (Amazon). It is easy to use, and has the chest strap, so I think it is pretty reliable. Good Luck!

I am a closet wannabe burlesque dancer....So I LOVE the ***** Cat Dolls workout DVD's. You can watch them on You Tube. Not a super intense workout, but tons of fun.

Really depends on how hard your pushing yourself. I wear a HRM and burn 400 calories with one trainer in spin class for 60 min and 550 with another trainer....who literally pushes me till I want to puke. Running for me burns about 550calories an hour, but I run hills and hard. Do what you love to do just push a little…

Three weeks of good eating is amazing. It probably took several years for you to develop your relationship with food and it wont change overnight. Please give yourself credit for recognizing that you induldged....forgive yourself.....and move on. Don't let this derail you. You can do it!

I tried a TRX class and really loved it. It looked pretty easy, but it was a killer core workout and my instructor made it pretty cardio intense too.

I like my space too. The only thing that annoys me more, is if they hop on that treadmill and try to talk to me. THAT IS NOT COOL!

Ditto. This is very common. I always show a weight gain after an intense workout. Stay off the scale a day or two and then check yourself:)

You put off going to the bathroom, because the thought of having to lower yourself down to the toilet makes you wince in pain.... not to mention the thought of needing a crane to pull you back off the pot:)
