I have just been tracking my calories to lose 1 lb a week, but I am weight training so i add 200 cals to my amount allowed. I don't do a ton of cardio and try to eat lower carb higher protein. pick a strength program and stick with it while using progressive overload, that's when I noticed results

I am still a work in progress —these pictures are three weeks apart! It’s amazing what 3 weeks can do. Down to 154 and lost inches and rolls. I feel motivated!

Thank you for your reply! I am also taking measurement and have noticed my inches decreasing even when the scale does not budge. I know the scale is only one piece of the measurement of success. I also struggle with the fluctuations I see on the scale lol, they sometimes shoot up 10lbs !!! damn water weight and hormones. I…

Hi mama, I went through the same thing. My daughter was diagnosed with cancer at age 4 and passed at age 6. I gained a ton of weight during her cancer journey due to long hospital stays and constant appointments out of town. Then to make matters worse, I gained a problem with alcohol to cope with the immense loss and…

I can name a few!! I realized simple everyday tasks are becoming easier such as carrying the groceries upstairs! Pants that used to fit suddenly are to big, even though the scale has stayed the same (this slightly annoys me though haha)! At work I can bend, squat and move with ease. People at work are commenting on my…

do you recommend the monohydrate due to effectiveness? I am just legit curious if this was worth my cash lol. I have never actually tried any creatine yet. The person at the store recommended HCL saying it has less side effects.

Very helpful thank you!

Thank you all for your responses! I have set my calories on here for maintenance which allows me 2170 calories. I am gonna stay in maintenance for a week or two then go back into my deficit. Fingers crossed I can reset and start to see some results afterwards.

Bought what I thought were grey gym pants and wore them to the gym. I had a good workout and was sweating quite a bit. I guess this material was not as sweat wicking as they claimed to be and they showed a large amount of “crotch sweat”. Of course I didn’t notice this for some time as I was focused on my workout. It looked…

Hey, I am a student nurse finishing up my preceptorship and compression socks have been my saving grace! I can tolerate standing 12 hours and not have leg/ foot pain! I recommend 20-30mmhg, no less.

My clothes are fitting nicer and hanging off of my body properly. I don't feel suffocated by my T-shirts anymore, as they are hanging looser. I am about to start my time of month, and I am not bloated the way I was before! Also, family is saying they can already see it in my face and stomach. I have lost 9 pounds so far! I…

Thank you for your reply and offering this resource! I am definitely, at a minimum, lightly active. I am a student nurse full time and a mom to a young child. I move around lots lol.
-
Thank you so much! It helps hearing what other people are getting for their calories :) congrats on your weight loss!
-
Thank you, your reply is encouraging :)

thank you for your reply! :)

Hey :) I figure I'm lightly active (at minimum) because I work on my feet 12 hours 4 times a week and care for a rambunctious 5 year old. I also aim to go to the gym 4 times per week on my days off. 1700 calories sounds like a lot!

Great job guys! During yesterday's weight training session I felt myself getting stronger. I had an easier time doing the moves and could complete 3 rounds of moves versus 2. Further, I woke u this morning and have lost an inch around my tummy. Seeing these small changes is enough to kee me motivated, thats for sure!

great tips you guys, I am certainly making mental notes about them :)
