So far this month: 1st - 7805 2nd - 5313 3rd - 7112 4th - 8308 5th - 5289 6th - 8058 I'm on maternity leave at the moment, so I'm not stepping nearly as much as I would normally. As a nurse I used to do up to 14,000 a day, on the ward. I'd like to get up to 10,000 at least.

I'm in too. Need to get my step count up

My username is the same as this one.

Went for an hour long walk today, with my brother. Its easier to walk longer when you're distracted by conversation. Accidentally left my watch at home though, so didn't get to count the steps. But according to my brother's fitbit it was 5500 steps. ;)

Today I've beaten my steps goal again. Slowly walking more each day :). I've done 7840 so far.

Today I almost doubled my daily steps goal :). Walked around at the shopping centre, and also went for a 40 minute walk in the evening. Went even further today.

Today i walked 2.5km in 30mins - longer distance in shorter time ;). Have beaten my steps goal by +1176 so far :)

Went for a walk down the track in my neighborhood- 2.4km 34 minutes. Have almost reached my steps goal and it's 7pm :)

I'm in. I have a 12 week old baby, so walking is how I'm getting back into exercise slowly. I've started wearing my Garmin Vivofit again, so my aim is to reach my steps goal every day :)

For me, when I'm feeling crook I go for rice crackers, fruit, and ginger biscuits. Dry biscuits do seem to help.

Hello ladies, I'm Kate, I'm from Melbourne, Australia. My baby boy is due October 23, so currently I'm 26 weeks and 6 days :). Had my GTT today. I actually fell asleep while waiting - probably from the sugar crash lol. Hope the results are ok! My husband's nephew was born today - makes me even more clucky! Can't wait to…

Yes you can drink too much water. It's called water toxicity. You end up flushing out too many electrolytes through your kidneys, which can cause heart attacks and brain swelling. It's best to stick to no more than about 3 litres of fluid a day. A good way to gauge it is to check your urine colour. If it's a clear, pale,…

When you click on the + button, it gives you the option of adding a photo from your device.

Thanks for that! I was just wondering how many calories I should be eating now. :)

Congrats! Add me if you like. I'm 9 weeks pregnant, due October 23rd.

Congrats ladies! I'm 9 weeks and due October 23rd with our first :) So excited! Had a dating scan already and saw our little embryo with its flickering little heart beat! Just battling the daily nausea at the moment, but metoclopramide/Maxalon is helping heaps. I've already told people at work because I was too excited to…

I'm having the same problems. It sometimes takes me an hour or more to fall asleep, and sometimes after I get up to wee I can't fall asleep again. My friend who is also pregnant has been having the same issue, and she's trying melatonin tablets as they're a natural substance in your body.

My personal trainers have always weighed and measured me monthly as it gives me time to make real progress. But I usually weigh myself every week anyway.

I'm on here every day.

I agree. You need to start off very very easily so that you can re-train your brain that exercise is not harmful. I had to start up my exercise again by working my way up gradually. I wasn't able to push myself like I used to a few years ago. I saw an exercise physiologist at the pain management program and he was awesome.…

Add me! I'm looking for new friends and I'm on here every day :)

I wouldn't survive the type of nursing they did back in those days! Before Florence Nightingale even!

Hello! Welcome! I've sent your a friend request. I think it is easier having support. Its a good motivator when you get the encouragement :)

I'm pretty inconsistent with my eating habits. I blame the shift work. Sometimes I only have time for three meals. I find that if I'm eating regularly, I don't end up bingeing at the end of the day. I was taught, some years ago, by my trainer, that eating regularly is "fuelling the fire" (boosting your metabolismt). But…

Women won't get bulky because we don't have the hormones for that like men do. You will develop lean muscles, and an athletic physique.

Welcome :)

If you want to avoid injury, get the trainer to show you the proper techniques when using the various machines. There's no need to be scared of them. Don't be disheartened - you haven't wasted your gym membership. You just need to get some instruction, and give it a go. It will be worth it!
