I do 16:8 and found that having lemon water in the morning takes away those hunger pangs and the good thing is that it will not break your fast. It was my understanding that eating at your BMR would help you to maintain your weight but if you wanted to lose, then you had to eat below your BMR....not by an extreme amount but maybe 200 calories per day less than your BMR.

Great responses. I'm 5'9" with a desk job, trying to get exercise in at least 3 times a week and eating 1900, maybe my calories are too high.
