  • me too! Love encouraging and being encouraged...think it's really motivating! Add me :)
  • Welcome! I started MFP for the same reasons...glad to have a friend! Added you :)
  • I started MFP to lose about 2 pounds and maintain my new weight, and I've found that MFP has really helped. I find that my lifestyle hasn't changed much, but there're definitely compromises to be made along the way. E.g. I'm walking right by fried food stands and keeping away from chips and sweet drinks, because I know…
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me..love to encourage and be encouraged :)
  • Welcome back! It must have been difficult for you when your diagnosis came, but I'm impressed that you're moving ahead and really wanting to do this!! :D Here's wishing you all the best in your journey! Have added you as a friend :)
  • I know what you mean...sometimes I'm not able to weigh my portions so I'm always wondering if I'm eating more than I log.
  • I agree...seeing a doc about this would be a good idea.
  • I'd love to add friends..love the encouragement and the support, and love being a part of that for someone else. Feel free to add me, anyone! :D
  • Welcome! :) I started out a little hesitant too, and like you, I don't exercise all that much. Found myself gaining a little quickly for my liking and knew I had to start somewhere. And yeah, like you, I want to wake up feeling good about myself and knowing that I'm maintaining my weight in a healthy manner. *cheers*…
  • That's amazing!! =D You did good, and I must say I'm inspired...way to go! :D
  • Nope. It would be way too weird and I wouldn't be able to go to work guilt-free for a looong time after that. So no.
  • I've never been fat, but I know my metabolism is slowing down real fast as I get older so I know to control what I eat even though I know I won't put on much. Thing is, I think of food very often and realise that the more I've been controlling my food intake, the more I've been thinking about all those foods I once used to…
  • Well done! :D You're gg to find plenty of people here who''ll be cheering you on all the way..awesome :) welcome!
  • Medium or medium rare....mmm.. Just a little bloody for the taste (scared yet), nice and tender...yum.
  • That's amazing!! :D So happy for you..you're a tough one! :)
  • Yep I do! :D Love the way they hold everything nicely and I don't have to deal with too many plastic bags at home. Also, I like to think that when I bring my own bag out and tell the cashier that I've got my own bag, I'm shaming the person queuing behind me if he/she doesn't have a recyclable bag and needs to get plastic…
  • LOL that's almost a mobile home! I've got 10 CDs, a bottle of water, a car cleaning kit, towel, car boot organiser, window shade, picnic mat, 3 recyclable bags for grocery shopping, a fake lizard stuck to the inside of my back windscreen, wet wipes, tissue, shopping vouchers, car insurance certificate and a partridge in a…
  • Definitely prunes. Or prune juice. Never failed to help me out when I needed a push ;)
  • Whoops, sorry dear, didn't know you'd concluded this thread..anyway just want to wish you the best of luck in moving on :) Know that you've got supporters right here. Take good care girl *hug* :)
  • Get far, far away from him. He's not going to do you any favours at all, and just look at his track record. In this case, I'd safely say that past performance is a sure indicator of future returns; the guy's just messed up and he's messing you up too, and you definitely don't deserve that. You've worked hard to get to…
  • Sounds like you know exactly what to do, but don't dare to do it. I know what you mean by thinking about how others might react, like your family and friends, but this is your life you're talking about. If you end up with the wrong guy, you're going to be miserable. That said, perhaps you should take a little time, say a…
  • Listening to some of the mixes, and it's sounds great! :D Will probably use the mix for the C25K programme..thanks!
  • Me too! Only I don't really use a treadmill so it happens when I'm running outdoors...a quick look around to make sure no one's behind me (woe to him/her if there is) and...
  • I'm really grateful for my loving boyfriend, my amazing parents and that I've got food in my belly (although it's nearly time for dinner...in which case I'm grateful that I'll have a good dinner soon)! So many things I'm grateful for...I'll probably be coming back to this thread now and then to post more :P
  • Hey! I'm currently doing the 100 pushups challenge too, along with some other great people from MFP. In fact, we've got a Facebook group going on, where we track our progress through the weeks. We've been at it a few weeks now, but you're more than welcome to jump right in and join us! =D Just search for '100 pushups…
  • I'm Asian too! Chinese-Thai and living in Singapore. Feel free to add me as a friend! =)
  • Oh wow that sounds like me. I LOVE junk food when I'm not feeling well, but if it's the cough I have or something I know I can't eat any because the fried stuff'll hurt as it goes down. But yeah, I completely know what you mean! I just usually drink lots of water to keep myself full, and tell myself that if I succumb, I'm…
  • 5'2" wanting to maintain my weight or lose a pound or 2...do I qualify?? Just want to get inspiration on great workouts to do, esp since I'm getting busier with work..Need the motivation!!
  • A colleague's aunt usually cooks lunch for us so we don't have much of a say in what we eat, but I definitely try to portion it out so I don't end up stuffing my face with too much of that yummy chicken with gravy or cheesecake dessert...ahhh, cheesecake. I'm getting hungry :P
