  • I couldn't recommend OA more. It saved my life as I'd be dead now or real soon if it wasn't for the programme.
  • Did you ever find any? I want it too. Not seen it anywhere.
  • Sorry to hear that. We get so incredibly attached to our pets. My dog Benji was dumped on our doorstep by some unsavoury characters 5 years ago. He looks like a collie but is small, a little bigger than a large Jack Russell. I really am not exaggerating when I say that he's our child. He's the best thing that ever came…
  • I haven't had time to read the rest of the replies so I'm just gonna jump in and tell you what I know from reading everything that Jillian ever wrote and listening to all her podcasts. NEVER eat under 1200 cals a day for a woman and 1500 for a man. Yes you can add the extra cardio in to Body Revolution. It's in the…
  • I'll definitely be buying clothes as I love fashion but have no interest about it at all at my weight (400lbs) as I hate my body. I'm a professional singer and I really want to say "Here I am" by buying a really good suit to perform in. But from a posh shop. I'll also move all the clothes I wear now, sweat pants, t-shirts…
  • I have 200 lbs to lose so I'll be on Body Revolution for a while. I shall probably spend 2-3 months on each phase. So I'll be on weeks 1/2 for quite a while to condition me before moving on to weeks 3/4 and settling there for a while. There's no way I'll be able to get my body to the end of the programme by doing it week…
  • Those moves sound scary. I haven't got that far yet. I like the idea of squat jumps as a modifier. I wouldn't have thought of that. I usually watch each dvd through first just to see what would need a modifier and to allow me to think of a replacement.
  • Coffee and nuts. Jillian says coffee is really beneficial prior to workouts, as is protein. Preferably an hour but I understand that can be problematic at times, is for me.
  • Just finished day 3. The dreaded Cardio 1. Because I'm 400lbs I have to work out modifications to many of the moves in the workouts. So far it's Cardio 1 that needed the most modifying. There were a couple of moves I wasn't able to do and instead I did extra punch bag moves in order to keep my HR up but at least I got…
  • I must put my HRM on to see how many cals I'm burning when doing these workouts.
  • I did my first workout this evening and will be doing it again tomorrow instead of day 2 just so I can cycle the week around to a Monday properly. I did have to modify quite a few of the moves myself as they were too intense for someone who's close to 400lbs. But at least I got through it and enjoyed it.
  • Thanks. I keep meaning to look into counselling as I want to have some for my food trouble. I think I know where the deep seated trouble lies but need help as to how to get over it. I had a dietician for a few months last year but to be honest, I was just not in the right mentality at the time and just fought with her all…
  • Hi Shannon. I just stumbled upon your post. Have you joined OA yet? If so how are you finding it? I made the decision to join in the summer but had no idea where to find the meeting in the building so chickened out. There at the beginning of January I had a melt down one day and insisted with myself that I had to do it. I…
  • Thanks everyone. Yeah I agree it's hard. I did it a few months ago and it was a killer, but in a good way. At least I got through it which is rare for me because I'm so unfit. If I combine it with another cardio based workout on my days off it will either be Zumba or the Biggest Loser Power Walk (which i love and burns…
  • Protein shakes or bars are a good idea. Just make sure you go for whey protein as it's the best form for your body. Also, to boost the protein even more, make your protein shakes with fat free milk instead of water.
  • Oh folks I've gone and failed today. Got pizza cravings so blew it all. Will do it tomorrow. Promise.
  • I forgot about this but it's not too late luckily enough. I'm actually glad it's today as I've not exercised at all this week so this will get me back into it. Can't wait to put that HRM and start exercising. Incidentally, seeing as I'm a guy and will therefore be eating 1500 cals I think it's only fair on you guys if I…
  • I'm definitely in. Only thing is as a guy I can't healthily go lower than 1500 cals so I'm gonna have to stick to that for the day. Hope that's ok by you all.
  • I YouTube'd it yesterday and I think I'd have an easier life if I was 10 years on a chain gang.
  • Excellent job. You look like a different person. Well done.
  • Thanks kgroysman. Do you have a calorie figure per portion?
  • I adore the show and have never missed an episode. I recently started downloading them and am watching from the beginning again. I've never watched the Australian one as it's spread over daily episodes and I just find that too tedious. I actually recently applied to go on the UK one but haven't heard back yet even though a…
  • I have all the Biggest Loser workout DVD's except the power sculpt one. I love them all. My favourite is the Power Walk one as when I don't feel like doing a full on workout and I can't go outside and walk because this is Ireland and it's always pissing down I shove this one on and can do it in my living room. It's broken…
  • I have it and love it. Granted I haven't used it loads yet but from what I've seen so far it's good. I have Zumba and Biggest Loser too and for the wii I have Just Dance 2. Plus I have all the Biggest Loser workout DVD's. I like to keep everything very random and varied which is good for the body anyhow but mainly just to…
  • I have the Your Shape Fitness Evolved, Biggest Loser & Zumba for Kinnect. I find the Biggest Loser one too intense for me and often leaves me almost unable to walk for a couple of days. The other two are brilliant though. The calories burned for the Zumba are pretty high which is always a bonus. I also have the Biggest…
  • The only way to accurately calculate how many calories you've burned is by using a HRM during workout. I can't afford a Polar or Bodybugg but they are the best. Mine's a cheap one from Lidl's but it does the job just fine. You just need to input your age, height, and weight and it does the rest. Ignore all the crap about…
  • The database is certainly better. Just hope I get on ok with the forum as I don't like fast moving ones. It's hard to keep up with.
  • Hi everyone. I'm Richard from East Cork. Have just moved over to this site from The Biggest Loser as I don't have the money to carry on there and this plan is identical. I'll miss it there as the forum wasn't overly busy but had just the right balance of posts. Some lovely people there but I'm sure I'll meet similar on…
