I don't know if anyone else here is a member of OA or goes to their meetings, but I am starting next week. I need help. I can't stop eating. I eat til I throw up and then eat more. I feel addicted. I want it to stop.

    Hi Shannon.

    I just stumbled upon your post. Have you joined OA yet? If so how are you finding it?

    I made the decision to join in the summer but had no idea where to find the meeting in the building so chickened out. There at the beginning of January I had a melt down one day and insisted with myself that I had to do it. I went onto the OA site and looked up the meeting again and phoned the woman who was listed. I went to that meeting and have been going to 1-2 meetings a week ever since, plus some online ones.

    I truly have found my way home there and have several people in my support system from there now. We phone each other or text most days. I bought all the OA books (most of them for Kindle so I can have them at college if I'm ever at crisis point).
