  • Same here weighing everything and gaining. But I have a thyroid condition so not sure if levels are off or if just water retention due to new exercise. Just frustrating. I understand.
  • Start weight 275 Previous week 259.4 This week 263
  • Agreed stay patient. I love trendweight it helps me to stay on track when the scale moves around even though it goes up and down averaging 1lb or more a week slowly going down.

  • Take one day at a time and try different things to see what keeps you full longer.
  • Have you tried adding more healthy fats and fiber to your diet to help keep hunger at bay? Use a food scale to make sure you are using adequate proportions. Increased protein helps others. But for me as long as I eat adequate protein, fiber and increased healthy fats I don't have the starved feeling all the time that I…
  • Oh I agree I love frozen thin mints. We buy like a dozen boxes at girl scout cookie time to last as long as possible (not to long with two kiddos) The deep freezer cookies are so good. No wonder I have a lot of weight to lose.
  • I have tried a couple of versions of chia seed pudding yum! I usually use for smoothies with flax seeds as well. I do have a question on how you measure your chia seeds? I saw a couple of post where you use a tablespoon to measure. I hope I am not underestimating how much I am getting because I am measuring in grams using…
  • Lets see yesterday I also had a Starburst freeze and two tacos at taco bell, Panera bread for lunch and gingersnaps and cookie butter from trader joes. I really want some more of those cookies and cookie butter but I sent the devil cookies home with my dad or I would have finished the whole tub, it could have been a…
  • Had two cheeseburgers, fries, soda and cookies for dinner tonight. Of course I was busy and didn't eat till dinner but it was full out junk tonight. And I lost over a pound this week. :) But really I do have a lot of weight to lose so I guess I can still get by with it for now as long as I am within calorie range. Started…

  • Good question I thought it was just me. :) I have had bronchitis due to sinusitis twice. I was walking as much as possible with sciatica but then got sick and I have ended up on the couch again.
  • So sorry that you are suffering alone. Hoping you can find help with your leg to help you feel better and get more active. The best part of MFP is the support. There is always someone willing to give good advice and help you along your journey. Good luck on your journey. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. :)
  • Hello. Working to find my fit self again as well I lost her about 20years ago and I haven't been able to find her since. But it is looking promising with MFP. Congrats on coming back good luck on your journey. ;)

  • It is hard. I am trying to lose 135lbs and it is hard to stay motivated. That is my favorite part of MFP I can check in if I am having a hard day there is always support available. @Heather congrats on your loss and newfound dedication. It is so easy to slip into lax eating habits when significant other eats whatever and…
  • I love my food scale I use it all the time. I pre-log everyday. I figure out what we will have for dinner plug all ingredients into the recipe builder in amounts specified then I figure out how many calories per serving. When I am ready to eat I weight the items cooked in grams to figure out how many grams are in one…
  • Hoping to be there with you in October I only want to get to 140ish but still 100+ lose. Good luck on your journey.
  • Hi. I have started and stopped so many times this time I am here for good. Glad to see you made the choice to do what worked the first time to lose it again. @RWayne what type of back injury. I am currently going through a second herniated disc in same area which will require a second surgery. I really like your post. I…
  • If I worked at Panera I wouldn't be able to do anything I would weigh so much. I love the food there. But good thing is you can have it as long as you stay within limit. Which has to be hard with all the wonderful pastries everywhere you look. Congrats on being more aware good luck on your journey.
  • Sorry to hear how scary your summer was. Glad that you are feeling better and here to make sure you stay that way. Congrats on starting your journey. I am not sure how much you are trying to lose but I am here to lose 135lbs or so. Always looking for friends for support and motivation. Add me if you like.
  • Current weight 259.8 Goal weight 239.8 Is it ok to do check in on Wen. which is my weigh in day.
  • I try to stay on a clean eating approach, and was losing weight steadily while allowing myself a planned "cheat meal" weekly that I counted for. I was losing at a steady pace until labor day and I have gotten derailed as a weekend of splurges have snowballed into a month of poor choices to often, and over calorie goals.…
  • I love my fit bit. It seems pretty accurate for me as well. It keeps me off the couch lol. But still haven't figured out the whole calorie burn for extra exercise. Weight loss at a limbo but getting better by eating 1/4-1/2 calories back.
  • Got to love the days like that. :)
  • Thanks guys. I guess I will start eating back only 1/2 of the calories back and see if this helps. I weigh everything with a food scale. I plug in recipes I weigh each ingredient before cooking and weigh final amount in grams and that way I know what the amount of grams I eat to ensure I eat a serving not 2 or 3. I am not…
  • okay just want to make sure having a issue eating all the calories added to my food from fit bit already. I just didn't want to eat even fewer calories daily and then add a large amount and slow weight loss. :)
