Hey everyone,
I'm Shondra. A friend recommended myfitnesspal to help me focus on my goal of losing 100+ pounds. And so far, it's been a great experience. I'm learning the key to my success is keeping up with my new routine of eating clean and exercising. I feel confident that by this same time, next year, I'll be at my goal.

These links are a great place to start.
I will add my 2 cents...don't focus so much on "eating clean" as much as staying in a calorie deficit. You should still enjoy your favorite foods.Your eating habits will change over time. Good luck!!0 -
Hoping to be there with you in October I only want to get to 140ish but still 100+ lose. Good luck on your journey.0

I welcome you and I think it's amazing that you want to lose weight and improve yourself. I'd caution you on setting a specific date as your goal. Have a goal weight, but not a date. Weight loss and maintenance are a life long journey, and if you set specific date goal posts, you set yourself up for reasons to feel like you 'failed' if you don't hit your goals. Don't do that. Every success is a step in the right direction.
Buy a food scale, weigh all of your solid foods and measure all of your caloric liquids. Log everything you put in your mouth, and stick to your calorie deficit. You can eat foods you like, just in smaller amounts. As long as you are below your calorie goal you will lose the weight!
