4 meals a day consisting of 300 calories of less, PLUS 45 minutes of exercise... That doesn't sound healthy, unless you're really short and/or your metabolism is extra slow! I'm all for raw fruits and veggies, though. For whatever reason, eating raw citrus fruits seems to really help me lose weight, compared to when I'm…

Um... are you trolling? Because what you've written here directly contradicts what you wrote in your profile.

I used to hate moving. Not just exercise... I'd happily sit at my desk ALL DAY and never go out (except to eat out), and that's exactly what I did almost every day. Now? I actually enjoy exercise. I'd be seriously unhappy if I were forced to not work out for more than a few days in a row. People can and do change.…

Think of a person who's always naturally been at a normal, healthy weight. Never been overweight (or underweight for that matter) in their entire life. Do they get hungry from time to time? Sure. Does that mean they're miserable? NO! I'm thinking of my dad. He's always been at a healthy weight. While he never had to try to…

That happens to me sometimes, too. After eating a LOT, the fullness can persist the next day. I say don't fast to punish yourself, but do fast if that's what your body is telling you. I would think, though, that fasting the whole day would not be a good idea. I'd just skip the breakfast (or just eat very little for…

Has that lady ever heard of "apple shaped" ?

1. Educate yourself and figure out what works for you. 2. Stick to it. While a tip booklet sounds like a neat gift idea, I honestly think it's more beneficial to read something more educational (see my #1 tip...), like introduction to calorie counting, macros, basic physiology, exercise programs, etc.

I know exactly what you mean about your body shrinking yet still having the same problems. The problem areas are still there, although smaller. I'm having the same issue! Unfortunately, there is no way to lose fat from a specific body part. You just have to keep losing fat and eventually it will come off -- even the most…

Unlogged dinners could definitely be the culprit. Do you weigh EVERYTHING? (well, except certain condiments like black pepper or herbs, I guess) I would suggest upping your protein and fiber intake. Some people, myself included, retain a lot of water when they eat too much carb.
-
Are you weighing your food? Don't guesstimate your portions; weigh your food. Measuring cups/spoons are only reliable with liquids. Also, I see your diary and it seems like you're not logging everything. How are you keeping track of calories without logging? (genuine question; I've been using a non-MFP program for calorie…

To people not familiar with stones, 6 stone 8 pounds is only about 112 pounds. OP, you are not overweight; instead of focusing on the number on the scale, try eating healthy foods with good amount of protein, and LIFT HEAVY. Do classic lifting exercises like squats, deadlifts, lunges, etc. This will change the way you…

9 might actually be smaller than 8 because odd digits are found in junior sizing, while even numbers are for misses/ women's. I had never worn a two-piece bathing suit (tankinis don't count) until last summer! Haven't gone hang gliding, and being obese was one of the reasons. I am determined to try it some time next year.
-
A small-framed 5' 2" here. Currently 125lbs. Lowest was 120 at the beginning of this past summer, and even then I had plenty to lose. I think I need to go down to 115-ish... then I'll start bulking (I want MUSCLES!!). We will see. I'm not too concerned about my weight -- just my strength, fitness and overall look.
-
Happened to me too. The first time around was this past summer, when I was the primary caretaker/ entertainer of a long stay guest. I took her to restaurants all the time the whole season and did not make the smartest choices while eating out with her. Gained about 5 pounds back, which may not sound like a lot, but it is…

A skype workout session could get really weird with all the panting.

360 degrees around my waistline, then my stupid face fat.

The tip about Greek yogurt substitution was great though! I'll keep that in mind for future, when I finally acquire a real oven (only have a toaster oven right now).

Another thing, I AM planning on going over for my birthday. I just don't want to do it all on the cake.
-
It was a home birth, and my dad took weeks to come up with a good name for me. Back then, in Korea, it was illegal to wait more than a month to report a child birth... My family was tight on money and didn't want to pay the fine, so they just reported my date of birth differently!
-
Mildly sweet ones, nothing overwhelmingly sweet, and no fruits in the middle (on top is okay).
-
Ohhh, I totally forgot about angel food! Thanks for reminding me! To those who are saying my birthday is only once a year... I in fact have two birthdays, my real one and the one on my birth certificate (which is incorrect), haha! More importantly, I don't eat cake only on MY birthday. There are family and friend birthdays…

Different people deal with emotion differently! I'm female, and when I get severely stressed, I just want to curl up in a corner and not do anything. My appetite dies.

You can definitely have too much sugar, no matter where it comes from. IMO it's not just about sugar. It's about carbs in general (and sugar is a form of carb). If almost all of your calories come from carbs, that is not a good thing; you need protein and healthy fats in there, too!
-
Level 2 day 1. I had heard that level 2 is actually easier than level 1... NOT TRUE. Squat thrusters had me dying. Buuut I got through it (the best I could)! When I finish the whole 30DS, I'm planning on repeating it from level 1 day 1. Looking forward to seeing the results in the form of "wow this isn't as hard as I…

Same here, except I got my calluses from glove-less deadlifting. It was okay in the beginning, but as the weight got heavier, my hands just couldn't deal with it. After one set literally ripped my calluses out of my palms, I knew it was time to buy myself a pair of gloves. I don't mind having calluses. I just don't want…

I don't want to quit cookies and cheesecakes. I still eat them, just in moderation! But when did I begin wanting to exercise moderation? It was when I realized just how big I had gotten. I met a chubby child weighing 55 pounds, and it hit me: woah, woah, woah, you mean I'm carrying a blob of fat the size of this kid!?…

What meshashesha said is right! I'm around 55.5kg and 157cm, female. My body fat % is around 25.5%. Considering my lifting strength, I'd say I do not have a whole lot of lean body mass. I'm working on increasing it. If you want to find out whether or not you have a lot of muscle, why not try weight lifting and see how…

If you have the DVD, it has all three levels  Level 1 day 7 for me!

One whole navel orange, 75 calories!

Members of my immediate family are all VERY observant with this stuff (except me... I'm the mutant). They notice even 5 pounds of loss/gain even though they see me every day! I didn't start getting comments from outside of this household until 40 pounds or so.
