  • You look AMAZING! Congratulations! We all know how hard it was for you to get there! Well done!
  • Weighed in at the gym... 3 pounds more than I thought I was. The plan is to follow the plan and stay away from alcohol. Any weight loss will be appreciated. I will weigh in again on the 12th!
  • :flowerforyou: I am in! My challenge is no alcohol and sticking to the prescribed calorie count!
  • Wow Lady! Looking good!
  • Well Done! Now you will become someone else's obsession! (whistles) Way to see it thru till the end! Thank you for the inspiration!
  • Welcome! I hope this works for you as it has for so many of us! This is a chance to be accountable! And to be truly aware of what you are putting in your body and how often. Put everything in your food diary - even if you know you have gone over (or under) and even if you are shocked to find out that you ate your entire…
  • Pilates - to define the femine shape Yoga - to tone the skin and get all the organs working and flushing Aerobic walking, swimming, biking or running to burn fat Water to flush the toxins from the body High protein, Low carbs, fresh veggies - no starch Eat the 1200 calories prescribed per day - do not add the work out…
  • Thanks! Yes... I was panicked when I first started this thread... another failed attempt ( I thought)... But 11 weeks later - life still goes on and I have lost 14 pounds... So staying calm and letting time pass and staying on plan.... does work! BTW: Coasters rock! No Hands!!!
  • So True, theartsymom! But I will embrace that muscle weight when I get down to goal #1 just 39 pounds to go. Psychologically I need to see a weight drop... Thru pilates and hiking my body is very fit underneath all the extra fat. and that is what has kept me fat  I always felt pretty good and my muscular skeleton felt…
  • Wine is the best "Bang" for your calories! Champagne is a good one! Don't tell anyone... but a BOTTLE of red wine is 510 calories. BTW I created an ALCOHOL category too... too keep me honest and aware. I agree with you... olives add calories... (but are so good when they are dirty!) Keep up the great work!
  • MFP is designed to make you aware of what you are putting in your body. Life is about living. You have to strike the balance. You can have your Dirty Martinis... by either eating less or exercising more. I have found that substituting alcohol calories for food calories OFTEN... yields NO weight loss. BUT once or twice…
  • I am back.... 11 weeks later to report that it is SLOW going... But I have lost 14 pounds... so that is about 1.1 pound a week. I think I am finding a groove now and the weight loss has accelerated a bit and has been consistent over the past month. I HAVE stopped blasting the weights. I know that muscle = more calorie burn…
  • Hi Guys  My resolve to stay on track is still strong! Only got 8 oz of water in so far... Didn't do much housework... burned 912 in the calorie burning dept. So, I am gonna add some shredded parmesan to my dinner! 8 more ounces of water to go... Fab50: Sending you good thoughts for your weigh-in! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks cindyrey! I will keep on persevering... I know, I know, it is only week one... Thank you too, FireRox! I realize that living by the scale is ridiculous.... and I have been living without being a slave to it for quite awhile now BUT I need to find some sort of discipline and accountability otherwise I will be 180…
  • Thanks, Steph! :flowerforyou: I guess I was just hoping for a miracle... always nice to have a big loss the first week/month. But my life just has never worked that way! Just wanted to expose my feelings so I cant secretly sabotage myself :glasses: You are doing awesome! That is the type of motivation I need to look for.
  • Copy that prrizza... Gotta hate those damned expectations.... I was looking for a BIG loss week one... Which is why I posted... didn't get my way. Thank you for the inspiration!
  • Thanks laurirev  epoeraven: I am not eating back ALL my workout calories. I set a side goal to burn an additional 3500 per week so that, with the help of MFP's tracking I would lose 3 pounds a week and not just MFP's 2. Last week - including today - I burned an additional 4400 calories... 1000 of those were today...…
  • When I read the scale... I did just "let it go". I have every intention of working just as diligently this next 7 days. Thanks for the advice about waiting for my body to catch up, measuring, and muscles pumped with water. I believe that is ALL true... but I truly FEEL like I lost 7 pounds... I am choosing to no longer…
  • I definitely want to be accountable. I will double my resolve and my water and throw in a bunch of house work. I will also double my walking distance. Thanks!
  • That is so awesome, Laura! That is one of my huge goals too! You have inspired me! Thanks and keep up the good work! (((hugs)))
