Mine is super accurate, I have spreadsheets I keep logging my total calories in vs out based on my watch, and I gain or lose also exactly as the math says I should. I’ve had one for years and found it to be spot in for me.

I’ve had Mirena for years and never had weight gain related to it. I’ve lost while having it and gained but it’s always been in relation to my eating habits. Because you lost in the first month it’s probably unlikely to be due to the Mirena.

Yes, while I was losing I ate every single calorie back. The last couple years I’ve been very loose with logging but am getting back into being consistent again and once again I am eating all of my exercise calories.

I have found it to be super accurate, for years now I have kept a spreadsheet with my calorie intake and my total calories burned each day that I get from my watch, and my weightI gain or lose within a tenth of of a pound each month as compared to what the math from my spreadsheet says it should be. This has been true…

I’m. It sure where this comes from, I’m in the US and I don’t use it, my first thought is that it maybe comes from the HAES movement, in that being overweight does not define a person. For example instead of saying I am fat, I have fat. However I have overweight is not correct grammar, so it reads and sounds off. I don’t…

I ended up going the surgery route. I got a tummy tuck last summer, I am absolutely thrilled with the results, I had loose skin and still some excess fat, but they also repaired my Diastasis Recti which I had after 3 babies. 100% worth it for me. If you do decide to consider surgery, realself.com is a great place to…

You could try liquid IV I don’t know if they are fizzy but they do have a little pick me up to them

I tried noom and I think it would have been a great tool when I was first starting and did not know much about nutrition. However having been on my journey for so long now and have a much better understanding it was too basic for me. I prefer all the options for customizing my goals and settings in MFP, but at the…

Renpho has an athlete setting when you set up your profile in the App. If you leave it on it calculates BF differently because it assumes you are training at pro athlete level. Turn it off, assuming you are not training at a super high level, and you will get a more accurate reading

I personally don’t do a low cal/low fat dressing. I like creamy Caesar or full fat ranch. However because I use a more calorie dense dressing I make sure to limit other calorie dense ingredients like cheese, bacon, and nuts, and I also make sure to stick to one serving by weighing how much goes in my salad. I load up with…

It’s also important to point out that the Apple Watch algorithm is estimating your active calories during a workout, meaning the excess calories you are burning on top of the regular amount you would burn anyways just existing. Do you know if your HRM is calculating the same? It would explain the difference. My prior HRM…

I will say had the same worry with my Apple Watch so a few years back I started tracking daily my total intake and my total calorie burn per my watch and I gain or lose within 0.1 lb of what those numbers add up to be. This has stayed consistent over 4 years now and with 2 different Apple watches. I still track daily and…

Do you have it synched to a fitness tracker? MFP will give you credit for your steps if you have it synced, but If you have a vigorous morning it thinks you are going ti maintain that level if activity for the rest of the day, if you end up having a more sedentary afternoon it adjusts the calculation back down.

So Apple Juice is going to have sugar, there are a ton of no added sugar Apple Juice brands. I buy the Great Value one from Walmart, but due to the natural sugars in apples the sugar and calorie content is still pretty high for me in regards to what I like to allocate for beverages, so I don’t drink just straight juice. I…

I voted Turkey, but Thanksgiving for me is a I am not counting and I will eat absolutely everything I want to eat day. I still log it, because I track my intake monthly and I balance it out the rest of the month, my record if 5600 calories lol. I usually plan for about 4500 for the day and lower my intake the rest of the…

I’ve done it a few times, getting ready for another round starting 10/1. I like it for a couple reasons, I feel really good when I eat this way, and 2 it helps me with my discipline, it’s a good reminder I am in complete control of my food choices and that no those oreos were not in fact too tempting lol. I always lose a…

I don’t make judgments on a picture of kids or anyone’s one meal. A diet is about all the things you eat all throughout your day over time. If you took a picture of my kids lunch you may see similar types of items, but you don’t see what I feed them for breakfast, dinner, and other snacks, or for that matter all the…

I would add a tablespoon of butter 15 grams. 50g is a huge amount of butter, so is a stick. The mashed potatoes if you picked a decent database option would include the butter and cream added to them.

It for sure saves me money, way less food waste, and I am a terrible impulse buyer at the grocery store, this means fewer trips to the store for me. It’s also been great to get my kids cooking more, the recipes are easy to follow.

I find that these types of measurements and scans are better if you can follow the trend. As a one time scan it’s pretty meaningless, but if you can go back at regular intervals and track your trend that is more helpful, and meaningful.

I like Home Chef.I do 3-4 meals a week for my whole family with them.

I like to swim and the pool at my gym has lanes for lap swimming and a big open area for water fitness and I hate when there is someone doing water fitness in a lane. You can literally use the whole rest of the pool for that!! Why take a lane when they are limited and you can see people waiting for an open lane.

I think that people should have the right to choose if they want the vaccine or not, meaning it should not be illegal to not get vaccinated, but I also support the right of any business or government agency to require it, to work on site and or enter the premises. If you make a choice you live with the consequences good…

Eating too little can have lasting health implications, you will lose muscle mass, you can lose hair, and if puts a strain on your heart. It can also be hard to see at first because many times people report feeling great for a while, before their body starts to exhibit the strain of eating too little for a prolonged period…

Agree! I don’t mind the mild flirting on the appropriate forums, and I don’t even mind if people are connecting to form relationships if both parties are agreeable, but I get way too many creepy pms from people who I thought were friend requesting for the purpose of supporting Fitness goals. I wouldn’t even mind if the…

I totally exercise to eat. I love food, meaning I like enjoying all types of food, and I have a big appetite. I know there would be no way for me to eat in the way I like go without some added exercise.

I didn’t take it as OP was perfect, just that she has been logging a long time and has that part down. A lot of times the diary is the first place I look too, but in this case the fact that she uses two scales to measure her food, and researches the accuracy of database entries, I can why she may be hesitant to open up her…

A whole new debate comes to mind, is Nutella appropriate for breakfast or not?? 🤣 Personally, I say yes, but I’m an IIFYM girl eat what you want when you want if it fits in your goals no matter the time of day lol.

From a purely insurance perspective yes, higher risk means higher premium, that's how all other forms of insurance works. With that said, I think there is a larger question of how do we ensure everyone has access to affordable healthcare. Many nations have chosen to have a national healthcare system, which I would not…
