IKR!!! Here these poor people are in the hosptial waiting for surgery, and here comes momma with 3 quarter pounders and fries, because they aren't getting enough to eat. Well THAT'S helpful.... :wtf:

Yeah I have seen this show and sometimes my heart goes out to these people. It just reminds me more and more of what I went thru to get here and that I need to stay focused and not let myself or anyonse else sabotage my success. And I have heard that too, that I am selfish, I have changed, I am no fun. And that's okay. I…

I don't see sugar as evil. I get a lot of it in my fruits. I try to avoid processed and added sugars. We keep sugar in our house, but I only buy organic. I won't jump on the organic food talk, but I do feel it is the quality of food that we put in that makes a huge difference too. I guess to each their own, but I feel that…

Thank you for sharing this post. It was a great reminder for me of the things I still sometimes do out of old habits. Great great advice!

Thank you for posting this! It gives me the boost I need to know that even though I am only 4 years out, I can still take off what I have regained. Awesome job! :sunglasses:

LOL I really like what I read about the UP24. I think I am going to break down and buy one. I love using best buy because you can take in and trade out for store credit on used cell phones. So I have a newer Galaxy 3 that I think is going to help me get my Jawbone
-
It is a bracelet type deal that tracks your activity and fitness, as well as your sleep activity and the sort. You can sync it with MFP. There is the Jawbone, then they have new and improved Jawbone, and I see people wearing them so I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on them. If it was worth the $40 on Amazon lol.

I love egg beaters, and turkey bacon. I can do 1/4-1/2 c of beaters and 1 slice of turkey bacon. I love love some vanilla whey blended with fresh fruit into a smoothie. that totally fills me up, or greek yogurt. When it is this cold I love hot breakfast and so I turn to cream of wheat, but not too often..not a whole lot of…

I am glad that someone hit on this topic. I am at a slacking point and I think that @glyndalin is right about the S.A.D. When it's cold and gloomy here in Illinois, all I want to do is sit and sleep, watch tv and do nothing. :cold_sweat: The other is that I get so frustrated that I don't have time. I would love to go to…

I am 4 years post of VSG and I try for 1000-1100 on the days I am not active and on the days I know I am going to work out, I shoot for 1200-1300. :flushed:

In my 4 years post op I have met people of all opinions. Most have been super supportive. And when I decided to have it done, I told my coworkers. I wanted people around me to hold me accountable. And though I am no longer there, I still see them out and they still tell me that I look great. I had the most awful things…

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my own dad almost 6 years ago, and I know how it can turn things upside down. I agree with what a lot of the others are saying, grieve in your own time and way. If you are hungry eat, if you aren't, don't. And if it helps distract you to count calories one day and not so much…

I am certainly game!

I don't have a lot, hardly any at all actually. But I find that there isn't much in this, and I only have it on occasion, I don't make it a regular part of my diet.

wow Judi! I never thought of doing that! Having someone else put the leftovers away. Or even cleaning up the table. I am a picker, so if there are leftovers, sometimes I find myself picking even tho I know I am full. Old habits die hard I guess. I used to be so good at that stuff but fell back into old habits. I am trying…

I really don't have a problem sharing why I don't eat. My doctor gave me a card that explains the procedure I have had done, and that if allowed, to let me get smaller portions and that. I think my biggest struggle is watching everyone else eat and I have to try and remember not to. It was easy before, but now I cook for…

Post VSG, 4 years out. feel free to add me! i have about 25 lbs to lose, here for the motivation and support!

I am huge fan of Chike! They have different flavors, as well as a cappuccino one, which is amazing! :yum: You can get a sampler pack for like $13, that has 6 flavors, and I have yet to have one that I dislike! And I am full for a long time. Love it!
-
Do you mind if I ask, 7 years out, how much are you consuming as a meal? 1 cup total? More or less? Do you still get your 64 oz of water in daily?
-
You know now that you mention it, mine is the same. carbs, meat, veggies. everything else is just fine. Huh, funny how that works.
-
my stopping cue is the hiccups. my 13 year old son is on it too. haha, when I hiccup he will holler out "you're done!" lol...it't not fool proof but it's pretty reliable.

We are all here for each other. This place is probably my saving grace some days. Chin up chica! You can do this, we can do this!
-
I agree with Pat and Rob. We got here because of our affinity with food and it's a forever battle. I have my stellar days and my not so much days. I have to tell myself it's just one day. The holidays tho are just one not so much day after another. Glad they only come once a year! ☺️ Now to rid of what's left of the…

I know this may sound wierd. but are you on or near your monthly? I am post op VSG and I get hunger bad around that time and can oddly eat more than normal. ???
-
In my mind I am glad too lol, but I just wanted to make sure that others were experiencing this too. I don't like it, but I appreciate that it is still there. It's like my stomach's way of slapping me in the back of the head lol.
-
The pouch test is kind of set up like the post op diet only condensed and it helps to see if you have stretched your pouch. I try to do it twice a year just to keep myself in check. so far so good. It kind of reminds me of how small my stomach is and how little I really need to eat. @Tristaan I know right! Slider foods can…

Just Gettin' Started--Jason Aldean! easy on the eyes and the ears lol

You can totally do this! I have 25 to go and I know it seems like a lot but I am inspired by others on here, and it helps to have a good support system! Add me if you would like!
